Could you tell me if they are the same as far as offerings in the lounge?? Do you think that it is worth the extra 100.00 for the Grand concierge?? I appreciate the help!! Im trying ot decide if I should upgrade to the Grand concierge or stay in a regular lagoon view room. I LOVE Yacht concierge (they are booked at the time I want to go) but the price is a 100 more for the Grand concierge do you get more to choice from there??
Thanks so much for all your help Im totally confused!!!! :)

We did sugar loaf for our 10th anniversary and loved it...but this year we did Boardwalk concierge and that was great too, the one caveat being that there was less of a private check in, but the spread was better,

Tnkrbell,

Hi Again! We have stayed at the Yacht Club Concierge and Loved it. I would rate it 2nd to the Grand Floridian Sugar Loaf, but we are more Magic Kingdom people. The food offering seemed to be much lighter than the Grand. There was not much to choose from other than on Super Bowl Sunday, then they had a Great Spread.
The rest of the week the only thing we really looked forward to was the evening Cordials and Beverages~which were to die for.
The variety seemed to be much better at the Grand. Our view from the Yacht club was great, we could see Epcot, the high fireworks and all of the Boardwalk. Tough choice, especially if you really like both. I base some of our decisions on where we spend most of our time. Again, I hope this helps.

Wendi,
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me!!! :)
I guess my question comes down to the food and drinks in the lounge (I know I know its suppose to be about the service, but for us its the food and drinks aka Alcohol!! :) lol)
You think the food is better at the Grand?? Sugar loaf is only 25. more a night compared to the main bld which would cost me 100. more a night. See I love the Yacht concierge and it is 100 less a night then Grand main bld!!! And I wonder if it is that much better that is why I need help!!! :)
I wonder if teh food is the same in the main bld and sugar loaf then I can bring my own alcohol and save 75.00!! :)
tell me what you think!! :)

Tnkrbell,

You can bring your own drinks! We even asked if it was ok one time and they said sure. The only thing you will be missing out on is the late night cordials, but if you really want something, pick it up on your way back to the room. I will say one thing~if you stay Sugar loaf~do NOT take a 2nd floor room over the service entrance. They start banging LOUD at 5:00 a.m. bringing carts in and out of the building. Needless to say, in off season I am NOT up at 5:00 a.m.. I would ask for a Dormer room. The food offerings were really good when we were there, lots of veggies, chicken, seafood, fruit, cookies, finger sandwiches, etc.. I have heard that they are the same food wise as the Main Building, just no Cordials in the evening.
As for if it is worth it..........tough call. It is really nice, convenient and you really feel pampered. If you are looking at spending more time in the resort, then it might be worth it. If you are like us, you kinda come and go. After all, Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island are open late. ;) The plain Lagoon View rooms are very quiet with GREAT Views and after all there are sooooo many GREAT places to eat there, you could eat anywhere with saving that $$$$ per night difference.
Let me know if I can answer anything else.

Hi! Just this past June (for our Honeymoon) we stayed at the RPC Grand Floridian Concierge and the YC Concierge. By far the YC was the better of the two. In terms of service, the staff at the YC was very very friendly and so accomodating to our needs. The staff at the GF were very ignorant and weren't very helpful.

In terms of food offerings. they were pretty much the same, except the GF lounge for RPC (main building) was bigger than YC lounge.

I would choose the YC over GF anytime. Look for Teresa and Betty at YC!!!!

This is just my opinion and I hope it helps!! Most of all - ENJOY YOUR TRIP TO WDW!!!
