?is it fun for a 9 yr old/

?do the girls dress up or could we come over from the parks in "park clothes"?
?is this a mandatory 90 day call like CRT?

My DD did it 1 1/2 yrs ago when she just turned 7 and loved it. She has asked to do it again last summer but we didn't get around to it. When DD went, most of the kids were younger than her but the ladies in charge were wonderful in getting everyone to participate and Alice and the Mad Hatter were great (so she tells me, parents are not allowed to stay).

I have to say I am quite jealous that this is a kids only event. I love Alice and Wonderland and my two previous trips I never saw any of the characters.

Oh well... I hope your DD enjoys if she goes!

My DD4 went to the Wonderland Tea Party this last trip in December and had a great time. I went in with her, as did the other parents and the table is decorated with all kinds of Alice in Wonderland tea pots and beanies, decorated plates and cups. It was very festive! The children were dressed in various ways, some in dresses and some in park attire. She says that she had a lot of fun and played games and spent some time with Alice and the Mad Hatter. I sent a disposable camera with her but she didn't take any pictures(she forgot). I did take some pictures before I had to leave. Most of the children were under 8 years old.

My DD did it for her 4th birthday in May. She had a great time. I had her dressed in a skirt and top. It wasn't too fancy, but I would dress your child in something nicer than park clothes. Most of the girls were under 6. I booked it 90 days out just because that's when I make all my PS's. I would think you do need to call pretty early since space is fairly limited. As for a 9 year old, I guess it would just depend on if she thinks it would be fun and wouldn't mind being around mostly younger kids or if she thinks she is too cool for that.

My dds did it when they were 5 and 8. The 8 year old had done it when she was 5 also. The girls really enjoyed it. They dressed nicer than they would for the parks, but not super dressed up. I think there might have been kids there in princess dresses, but I'm not completely sure.

I hope your girls have a wonderful time.

My dd 4 went to this and loved it. For a 9 yr old, it would depend on how "grown up" she is. There wasn't anyone there over 6 on the day my daughter went.

thanks for the replies...this is a surprise trip so I can't ask my DD about it. The 9yr old just turned 9 last week BUT definately thinks she is very grown up, but if she is with her 5 1/2 yr old sister as her "babysitter" she will probably get into it and have a good time :)...thanks for advise about the attire...it would bother her more to be "underdressed" than being too old !!
