I am considering doing this for our long trip in Jan. We are going to be staying at DLH and was wondering:

Who did you use?
What was the delivery charge?
I am assuming you have to be available to come down and meet them in the lobby?
Anything else that is good to know about this service?

Thanks guys.

We have several times. We've always used Albertsons.com. The delivery charge most recently (this year in February and April, last year October) was $9.95. We were not there to meet them, we were staying at DLH, I had paid online of course, I notified Bell Desk that it was coming and Bell desk called our cell phone when it arrived. They said we could come get it whenever we were ready and even kept it refrigerated. On another occasion, a wonderful DLH employee took our groceries to our room (though they are not supposed to do this) and even put the baby's milk and things that needed to be kept cold in the fridge!

Oh - and piece of cake and so convenient!!! Wouldn't do it any other way!!!

Very nice. That is the information that I was looking for. It appears that you can have them deliver up to 10 p.m. according to their website. I am definitely going to try it. Thanks.

Please do! If I could only tell you how much money it's saved us with the tiny tummy needed more food than the rest of us. Not sure how old your kids are, but not hauling diapers is awesome!

We are staying at DLH, I would love to do this, but I was worried you'd have to be there... thanks for the tip!!

Yay! We were also thinking of the delivery service but thought we had to be at the hotel to receive it! Do you think the PPH would offer the same "hold it for you" service? Thanks!

Also, what kinds of things do you usually order in? Our kids are 7 and 9, and in the past we have often bought alot of stuff we didn't end up really needing... Thought I would see what others found most useful!

Thanks!

PP, DLH, and GC all will take care of this for you at Bell - actually MOST hotels will (ask in advance.)

For 5 kids in February, we got granola bars, cookies, goldfish, milk, bottled water, chips, yogurts, cereal, bread, peanut butter, bananas, fruit roll ups, muffins. For those of you who drink beer and/or wine - California grocery stores DO sell those items so you could order that if you wanted.
