We've just moved into a beautiful apartment....and I have my own bathroom with a garden tub! I'm planning on making my bathroom perfect (just not sure what perfect is at this moment). But dh is jealous....so he's insisted that the family bathroom must be decorated a la Disney.

So here's my request....please share what you've done to give your bathrooms a Disney touch. Are there any cool bathroom coordinates available at WDW now? Preferably with bath sheets? (You know....towels for the Pooh sized....bath towels are just plain absurdly small....) Disney Store online doesn't seem to have much....and unfortunately there is no Disney Store in our new town (there used to be 2!)...not that I'm sure that would be much help.

Anyone up to helping me "design" this bathroom? LOL So far its all white..though the floor is a beige "tile" with black accents...what can I do?

(BTW, my private bathroom...my retreat or oasis as I've been calling it...will not be done in Disney....no idea what I'm doing with it though....but the everyday stuff has to be taken care of first!)

Before I remarried my daughter had her own bathroom and I did it all in Minnie Mouse (with a little mickey here and there). At that time Walmart had Minnie shower curtains. I found a Mouse head tooth brush holder (which we still use)and assessories. A mouse head rug in front of the tub. And I had found 2 old books Titled Minnie and me. I tore pages out of those books of Minnnie playing dress up and framed them. It was really cute. Her Bedroom at the time was Minnie also. Now she has grown out of all that Minnie stuff too bad I haven't LOL.

Have a blast decorating!!

Hi,

We have a small bathroom that is all Pooh! On the wall by the 'john' we have a picture of Tigger pouncing Pooh by a sign that says 'Poohs thotful spot". Behind the 'john' we have a built in cherry/glass cabinet with our collection of Pooh and Friends figurines. On the sink top we have a few beanie Pooh characters and a Pooh dixie cup dispenser. The faucet is brushed stainless and we found 4 Pooh character drawer pulls to match for the vanity doors...and also matching ones that are towel hooks for the 2 doors that enter the bathroom. On one wall I took a black deep frame (with black velvet inside), I found at micheals craft store to showcase my pin collection. I used pooh and friends shower hooks I found on Ebay.

We used the colors we found in the picture above the john that would look best with the marble floor (which is black and has some purple in it)...a dusky deep purple and a dark grape...to accent (walls, shower curtain and towels). The room is so rich looking with the cherrywood and the spot lighting my husband installed. I have no idea how to upload pictures so if anyone wants to see pics, pm me...

When we were on vacation in 2001 we did just that! We decorated the kid's bathroom in Mickey Mouse. The floor is black and white tile, so we went with black, white, and red and found plenty of things at the bed/bath store in Downtown Disney to fit the bill. I'm at work now, but I'll upload some pics when I get home tonight.

We did a twist on the bathroom theme and used the bedroom stuff in there. There is a set with blue(different shades), Mickey, Minnie, and flowers. I put up the border and my neighbor sewed together 2 long curtains to make a shower curtain. She also shortened 2 more curtains so the window curtains would be the right size. There was a matching "rug" that went with the theme, but I use it as a bath mat. We got generic blue towels, soap dispenser, and toothbrush holder. To pull it all together, while in WDW I saw a Mickey head soap with blue in it so that sits on back of the toilet.

I have the Mickey Mouse sage green accessories that the catalog had a couple years ago. I got the soap dish, toothbrush holder, tissue box cover and the towel set and bathmats. I also bought the Mickey head drawer pulls to put on my vanity and have some Mickey decorations about. Subtle but still Mickey.

I saw some ceramic Mickey white hands drawer pulls on my last visit to WDW, and think I will get those next trip to change my vanity and spruce it up a little.

I also had a craft lady paint for me the sage green Mickey head icons on a small oak table and it is really nice! My bathroom is small, and this just gave me something that is tucked out of the way to display a few things, put the tissue holder on etc.

I couldn't find anything that I liked so what we've done (and are still in the process of finishing) is home-made our stuff so to speak. We found a Mickey-red shower liner/curtain at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5, got black hooks, and this plastic cover thing that can go over the silver shower rods and make them another color -- in this case black. Then we got a Mickey-shoe-yellow bath mat. We put various items from Disneyworld (Mickey shampoo and lotion, Swan and Dolphin soaps, etc) and a plush Mickey keychain along the sink. I've stitched a Mickey cross stitch though haven't framed him yet and plan to frame him in a simple black frame and maybe do a couple more to go with. I'm also planning something for the towel rod that I'll show y'all if it works. ;) We still need to get coordinating towels and I think we need another small bath mat, but it's turning out fairly nice. I thought of stencilng <sp?> the "Mickey pieces" (shoes, gloves, pants, mouse-ears) along either the ceiling or along the middle of the room, but haven't done that yet.

Hi Lesley, my name is Lesley too, spelt the same!

Anyway, my bathroom upstairs by my room is Disney. A few years ago, i think around 1998 or so, my mom bought me a African themed Disney bathroom set out of the Disney Catalog for my birthday. She got me the rug, which is cream, white, black with some zebra print and Mickey heads, along with a shower curtian which basically looks the same. The Mickey heads kind of look like paw prints. Then, she got me a Mickey head toothbrush holder (this may be from Walmart or somewhere local) and over the years, i have picked up a few things to go along with it. From AKL, i bought a Mickey candle holder, some wooden minature animals, and a giraffe print Mickey picture frame and i put a Disney pic in it. And then i have some other little things to go along with the theming. The bathroom is smaller with a shower, toilet, and sink space. I like it and it's easy to find stuff to fit with it.

Not yet...but my powder room has a seashore motif and there is some awfully cute Finding Nemo bath stuff in the Disney Catalog.

I bought a Disney calandar and framed some of the pictures from it- they are on the bathroom walls- they are pics of Cinderella. I have shelves above the toilet where I have Disney collectables (mostly Cinderella snowglobes) . I also have a basket of magazines on the floor, with Disney Magzine always on top.

Thanks so much! I would love to see pics.....can't wait to get to WDW to check out the store. Guess its time to plan that interim WDW trip this year.....LOL....we're thinking July!
