HI,
We currently have booked our trip thru disney, I want to keep the reservations as I have them right now, because they extended my deposit date.. :)
Sorry It's christmas time..
But who would have better rates for a Dec trip/ or on ship discounts??

Thanks
Linda

I CAN ONLY SPEAK ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE. WE BOOKED THROUGH A TRAVEL AGENT, THE COST FOR THE THREE OF US IN A CATEGORY 11 THROUGH DISNEY IS $4700 WITHOUT AIR, THAT IS WHAT I PAID WITH AIR INCLUDED, AND I HAVE AN 11 GUARANTEE. HOPE THAT HELPS:tongue:

I found the best price through Costco travel. We save about $300 over the cheapest price I could find anywhere else.

Some travel agents give you a "discount" on their fee. That is how they can give you a cheaper deal than going directly thru Disney. I've found that whenever AAA is advertising a special, my agent (non-AAA) can get me the same deal or better. Many of the AAA discounts are really offered by Disney, so other agents can get them too.

cruise.com and Costco gave us the best prices. Dreams was always the same price as Disney, with a very small rebate. The others took off either a percentage of the total, or $100 per person from the price Disney gave (that for for inside staterooms, outside/verandahs might be discounted even higher) AAA was also the same price as Disney whenever we checked.

Found significantly better prices for all our cruises with Cruise Connections. If you send me a PM I'll give you the phone #,can'y post it here.

remember Dreams has the rebate, even if you book on the ship you can transfer your ressie to dreams and still get the rebate in addition to the stateroom credit you get for booking on the ship.

some travel agents are cheaper the DCL since they book blocks of rooms, for specific dates. The agency gets the rooms at a discount and passes that on to you. Remember this is good only on certain cruises, if you can be flexible on your date, you can save money.

We booked ours last week through AAA and got a great deal. AAA worked with Disney through the group tours. I've been checking prices for a while and could not find anyone who could get close to it. I guess it's hit or miss.

When we booked our cruise 14 months ago Dreams had a much better rate than Disney

I booked our January 2004 cruise 18 months in advance. I checked Disney, Dreams and AAA for prices and Costco beat them all. Even when I asked AAA to match or beat Costco's price, it could not or would not do it. Costco does not offer much in the way of services, but they were clearly the best price by a few hundred dollars.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

We have used Allseasons Travel twice and found them to be consistently cheaper than Disney and Dreams. They are very good to deal with and you can check prices immediately on their site without emails or waiting for replies.
Worth a look :)
Cheers,
Grumbo

ditto on the allseastravel.com .... originally booked with dreams, but cancelled and switched, which is something I did reluctantly (dreams was very helpful), but the savings were too much to pass up.

Do you live in Florida? If so you can try to get the Florida resident special rate if available via Disney.

Even though this is our first DC, I have search a lot for the best deal...and I found it with Dreams... Also their service is exceptional!!!

I have checked other sites and Dreams gave us the best price including travel insurance :hyper:

Just booked with dreams and their price was $100 - cheaper than all seasons travel - Just an FYI

We did a lot of shopping for a price. I just dug out all the informationfor the cruise. Here is what we found.

April 18-22, 2004
2 cabins (cat 11 & cat 7)
2 adults & 2 children
no airfare
insurance was not included in price. (but I did include the insuance in ( ) behind the qoute.)
we gave all six agencies the same information

TA: $3,250.70 ($152.00)
All Seas: $3,171.00 ($145.00)
Disney: $3,043.40 ($118.00)
Travelocity: $3,043.40 ($118.00)
BJ's: $3,035.40 ($138.00)
Dreams: $2,893.40 ($118.00)

Hope this helps........twk

Your best bet is to check all the above mentioned sites. We booked with All Seasons twice. Best price by several hundred dollars and great service.

We booked in May 2003 for May 2004 and checked everyone - DU, AllSeas, Costco, AAA, Disney and Sam's Club and booked with Sam's Club as they were over $200 cheaper than anyone else.
We are staying in Cat. 11 (2 adults) for $1749.00 and that includes tax, port charges and insurance for each of us. The insurance was only $59 each instead of $99 each! Just my 2 cents worth!

Hoping for an upgrade now! Got one on our 1st Disney cruise! Probably won't be that lucky again!

I think you should really check out all your options yourself, for whatever dates you want to go. It seems to me that in different circumstances (different dates, how far ahead you are booking, etc.) that some are lower, some are higher, it switches around!

For instance, it seems that in my searching for the dates *I* wanted- that allseastravel was the lowest- but I was booking way ahead of time.... Feb or June 2005. I'm not sure why that makes a difference- but I have noticed that those booking in first half of 2004 seem to get better rates OTHER than allseastravel. Not sure why that is.... so your best bet would be to look at all your options for the date you want. There isn't a clear cut answer for ALL dates on who is cheaper. :)
