We have 3 kids who are 9, 4, and 4. I know 5 are possible at the Dolphin, but how is it really with that many in a room?

We stayed 5 in a Dolphin room back in December '03. For only one night prior to moving to BWV for the rest of the week. My kids were 10, 8 and 6 and my son (the 10 yr old) slept in a rollaway. It was a bit crowded, but manageable. I could see us staying a full week there. But we've also used to staying in POR with a trundle.

Same here--Stayed 5 in a room at the Dolphin for 4 nights earlier this month. We found the rollaway bed to be much more comfortable than what is usually offered in other hotels.

No doubt it was a bit cramped though--especially with only one sink--but with younger kids (ours are 10, 8 and 5), we did not have any major issues.

Thanks so much! Sounds like it's very doable--plus, we aren't in the room much anyway.

Just got back from 6 nights at the Dolphin with 5. On two previous stays in '05 we slept 5 in a room and the only issue was one bathroom. This time, we decided to upgrade to a suite at checkin. This added $129 per night and we had huge space and two bathrooms. However, since we spent so little time in the room, I don't think we would do this again. I'd rather squeeze and spend the money on other stuff.
