Who has a non-disney spouse?

So er - why are you posting on a Disney related forum then?

Because I love my family and they love Disney. If all I had to do was show up and could relax I might enjoy it. My wife is an amusement park commando and has to be there from open to close and never stop. I look at this site is to get as much information as possible to make it as painless as possible for myself.

Count your blessings. You know what the other side of that coin could look like.
So true.
See how
Disney can CEMENT relationships? :sunny:

DH likes Disney...as long as it's 4 parks in 1 day with a parkhopper. I kid you not.
He thinks that's plenty of time with the mouse and then we can all go to Gatorland and the beach. Last time he tried that, I forced him into staying 2 whole days. Then we went to the other sights and the beach and the kids said it was ok but not Disney. Then I decided to make the plans myself and not include a rental car. He is too thrifty to pay to get off property. :rotfl2: So he is stuck there for a full week. :rotfl: He also hates cruising, so he is really going to love the Disney cruise we have planned for next year. I am glad he loves me enough to tolerate it(and pay for it) but I don't feel too sorry for him because the kids love it and it's family time. :goodvibes

My hubby had never been to WDW until March of 2005. We are now planning to go summer of 2007! Before he just did not understand the magic that happens at Walt Disney World. He just had to experience that magic for himself. He is like most hubbys, a big kid himself. I believe he was on the verge of tears when he saw that the "AT-AT" was torn down for repairs at the Star Wars ride at MGM. Granted, I am the Disneyaholic and want to go every opportunity that I can but he stated calmly that we cannot afford to go every year. He did say that we will go every "other" year.

My in-laws has no interest in going either. They want to go camping or the Outer Banks. Boring.....you can only sit on the beach for so long and any vacation where I have to wash dishes is NOT a vacation. You can quote me on that!!!!!

O.K. most DH's do not like Disneyworld. Am I so odd that I love Disney???? :dance3: 15 hours and counting :dance3:

I was wanting to know who has a scrooge for a spouse about disney. For ex. "We can go someplace else than Disneyworld". My response would be, "Disneyland"? My wife luckily is a fan.

LOL, Now something new we can blame disney for.........DIVORCES!!!!! :rotfl2:

"Your Honour, he hates disney!!!!" Judge "Off with his head!!!!!" Ok that might be alittle extreme, but you get the drift...........

I marrried my Snowwhite, and can't imagine alife without Disney together with her.

Rob (Snowwhite's DH)

That would be my DH. He doesn't like Disney.

Although whenever I talk about going again and he can just stay home, he somehow tells me the things he wants to do next time around (mostly fishing & staying at the Grand Floridian   Not that I'm complaining but with a family of 6 that is pricey!).

My Dh 33 had never been until our trip 2 weeks ago. He has since been overheard telling friends and coworkers he has "seen more than enough Disney for his lifetime" :guilty: I know he will go back for another trip with our DD in a few yrs, but if I want to go back before then it will be just me and my DD and maybe my sister. He can stay home since he doesnt love it.

I see a class action lawsuit coming. If you have stock watch out. I may have to unload mine before this hits the news paper.

Boy I thought I was alone....although I do notice it is mostly our DH who are the grumpy ones... we are heading back in Feb. to take our exchange student and my DH says as long as his golf clubs go he will go - no golf no trip for him...he really doesn't like the parks at all - he goes because he loves us and we all love WDW! I just don't understand...

My DH does not like WDW at all. He went once with me and my parents when we were in college and hated it. Granted that was during crowded spring break time.

He says he will go when DS is a little older but won't like it. But I think he will enjoy watching DS have fun.

So for now I go with friends and we leave the DHs at home :)

Hubby is not a big fan, but definitely has fun when we go. I do all the planning, so he just has to go, which helps. Then add to that that he loves ME, and love to see me happy, so it makes it worth it to him to see me smiling from ear to ear.

And the...ahem...time in the hotel room is always better on vacation. Disney makes me more playful and relaxed in all respects, and we feel like kids together!

My DH tolerates it because he knows I LOVE it and the kids do too. I convinced him to renew our DL APs this year AND plan a trip to WDW next year a month after our passes expire. :)

This thread scares me! My DH has never been and we have an upcoming trip. He told me to plan everything. He can be a real party pooper at times (i can see him now complaining about heat or lines) but I am secretly hoping he becomes a disney lover. He doesnt get why I visit the DIS all the time or why I'm always talking about it. I'm hoping he catches the magic once we get down there...can anyone tell me a story of a spouse who surprised them by loving it?
