I have a spreadsheet that I can easily modify; it lists what goes in my backpack. the overnight bag, the car, the suitcases, a grocery list and things to do before we leave. I never have to change it much regardless of our vacation destination.

Is there anyway that you might be able to post a copy of this? We are doing a vacation home rental on our next trip and would love to see what a veteran brings.:)

Where is taht smilie with a bag on it's head. I started a organizer for all the stuff I need for my next trip the week we got home...

I'm so happy to hear that I'm not the only one with a couple of rubbermaid containers full of trip necessities. When we return from a trip I make a list of what I need to refill and keep a post-it in the toiletries bag to remind me of what's missing. In less than a week I'm refilled and ready to plan the next trip. (search out a hanging toiletries bag at Target as they go on sale periodically - then just keep it filled with the usuals) Takes so much stress out of packing! I keep 2 bins so I can have one for winter travel complete with dollar store stretchy gloves and hats and one for warmer trips with ponchos, umbrella and extra sunscreen. I also hit some sales on Disney Store t-shirts and quick-dry shirts and zip off pants (off season sales at Dicks, Gander Mtn & Sports Authority) and we're are almost entirely packed ahead of time! :)

Yup, I have a box going here too! So far I have a mini fan, notebook to write all of our food down for dining report, airline reservation and disney room package stuff, trial size bottle of sunscreen for airplane, lanyards, our trader pins, water bottle holder strap thingys we bought last time at the parks, fanny pack, messenger bag ,zip lock bags, autograph books and pen, brand new jeans bought from the Disney store for me for the plane ride down, lime green tank top for the parks. That is all I can think of right now. We still have 161 days till we go!

In my bin, I keep my well-behaved son with a good attitude! :thumbsup2

Not really! He's never in a good mood!

Okay...for real now...

1st aid kid (mini)
Lime green baggallini
Lime green antenna toppers
Pins for our next trip
Pin lanyard
Autograph book with pin
Planning guide
Shirts for our trip
Crystal Lite Individual Drink Flavors

I'm starting my Disney box tonight!! I've got a big Rubbermaid box in the bottom of my closet all ready to hold stuff for our first trip in June. I hit up the Dollar Tree for Disney stuff for Easter baskets today and hit the jackpot!! Coloring books, crayons, ball paddles, flying discs, light-up yo-yos, ponytail holders, Pez dispensers, lollipop rings, and more. I had already hit the Disney Store early in the week, so lots of today's loot will go in my box for the trip!! Now I just need all that "other" stuff like ponchos, sunblock, etc. . . I try to pick up a little something every time I go shopping. It not only spreads out the cost, but helps with my EXCITEMENT!!!:yay:

We have done this for every trip. I have one started for our December trip. It has a memory card for the camera in it, and some blank tapes for the video camera. Oh, it also has the ponchos in it. :surfweb:

I guess you can call me crazy as well because we always have one! Right now all I have in it is a couple of small toys for my son (aqua doodle and color wonder pad). I'll probably start ramping things up though since we're under the 6 month mark. I'll get some sunscreen, things for the toiletry bag, swim diapers, regular diapers, new sippy cups, snacks, etc.
