OK, I just read a post where a few people said they had musty smelling rooms there. We are staying there in a few months and this has me worried. I have TWO asthmatics in my family and I sure don't want them to be sick from mold or mildew............. did you actually *see* any mold or mildew? :confused3

We were there in January---no musty smells for us. The room was in great shape.

I posted on that other thread. We had a wonderful stay at POFQ with no musty smelling room! We stayed in Bldg 4 (Room 4131) and loved the location. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and had no complaints about the mousekeeping. Please don't let a few comments dampen your trip. You will absolutely love the resort. Read my post on the other thread for more good information :teeth: !

we were in building 2, and our room was absolutely fine. I wouldn't worry about it, if by some unfortunate chance you do get a room you are unhappy about, then just call reception and explain why it's unsuitable and ask to be moved, but I very much doubt it will be a problem

We stayed in bldg 5..the rooms were great, brand new ...NO SMELL!

we stayed last April, no smell!! Loved POFQ!!

We just got back last week. Stayed in building 4. No musty smell. Everything was perfect!

We had stayed in bldg 5 right before the renovation. My mom is very allergic and has bad allergies. No problems with our stay! :goodvibes

We also were just there in Jan. and our room was great! We love it there!
Everything is so much more convenient there compared to the other moderates and we have stayed at all of them. :flower:

I've probably had 50+ stays at POR or POFQ = no smells. This January it smelled like mouldy wet bathing suit when I arrived at the room, so I called the front desk for a room move. When on the phone I had to run out of the room to gag over the railing.

When the person came to help with the room move, he opened the door (I was waiting outside) and he started gagging too.

Obviously not a usual scenario. In fact, it was almost more like amonia, making my eyes water etc.

I wouldn't worry - this was definitely an unusual situation. (And really too bad, since the room was a free upgrade to water view, and the new room was not half as nice....)

We've stayed there twice, on the 3rd floors of bldg's #5 and #6. My 3yr old has asthma, and I have a very sensitive sense of smell. There was never any musty smell! :)
