I think we should NOT "give it up for" DCL marketing.......they evidently do not play fair. It is just plain foolish for them to send out to some past cruisers and not to others. There are forums such a this where people DO compare notes, and it leaves a very bad taste in the mouths of those left out. What genius at DCL gets to decide who is "worthy" of special offers and promotions?

Do you think they mailed these out to folks who currently have a Disney Cruise booked with them? I got one :flower: We're book for the Oct. 22 Western cruise. The mailer impressed me so much I brought it into the casino I work at to share with our Marketing Dept. Not that a coconut would fit into the casino theme, but it was cleverly done.

My husband and I cruised on our honeymoon back in June '02 and dined at Palo. When I received the coconut last week, I was excited because we had recently been talking about the dessert when we saw someone making a souflee on the food network a little while ago. I wondered if they knew we had ordered it, but my husband said they probably sent them out to everybody. I guess that's not the case though. We don't have a cruise booked and we didn't receive a CD.
I'm looking forward to trying the recipe though, and it makes me want to go back on the cruise!

Just got mine! Want to try it, but I like the instant way better - I'll wait until we go on our cruise next month and just order it at Palo! Much easier that way. :)

Got ours today, we're on the EB repo. I will try the recipe, checked it out and it can be adapted to DS's gluten/casein free diet.

Hey mmouse37, I know you're a huge fan. I kind of wanted to make it clear to others reading this thread that it isn't that Disney is stingy when it comes to repeat cruisers. I too would love to see some additional perks, like coupons or maybe on board credit. I guess some of the ideas they may have had when they started out didn't need to be realized, since they became so popular with the return guests. It just blows me away how they have to do so little incentivizing to fill their ships and how many of us return over and over, despite the wrap they sometimes get here as being over priced.

Wow, 10 towels, that's cool! I would let my kids use a couple in the summer around the pool if I knew I had some in reserve! But it would be fun to see some new gifts. Maybe even some characters at the Cast Away club reception or some new little twists.

I know you know....us Hurricane Jeanne cruise survivors must stick together!!! Any insight as to why there are no pooh characters onboard? I always wondered.......

Oh, when we cruise with the family we need two cabins so, each time we cruise we receive two towels!! I think I have one in reserve, but we use the rest!! My kids prefer using the DCL towels than the regular bath towels.

That's right, we do stick togehter!

Hm, I never thought about the absense of Pooh characters, that's interesting. My only guess would be that they have stuck with the "main" group, Mickey, Minnie and pals. Plus of course any characters that appear in the shows are easy to circulate around the ship. I would guess that there is just so much room for costumes so they can't add to much more just for character appearances.

When we book for next February, we're probably going to book two cabins as well, I hadn't thought about two gifts! Yippie! If it's still towels, I'll be able to surrender custody of some to my kids.
