Just curious.... who would I speak to if/when there's an issue with the credits incorrectly charged? I plan on checking the receipt at every TS so if there's an issue with the TS credits, I can handle it with the waiter/ress before leaving restaurant?

What about snack credits? Do we talk to the person at the snack cart or location?

Do we talk to resort front desk if we find out the problem aftermath?

Just want to be prepared. Thanks!

We've used the regular dining plan 40+ days since 2005. All those meals, all of the snacks, we've only had one incident. Back in 2005, we were charged an extra TS credit for Crystal Palace when my DD was only 2 (and ate free). It was handled quickly and efficiently by the conceirge at our resort. If you catch it right away, have the server correct it. If not, handle it when you get back to the resort.

I really don't think it's something you have to worry about, though.

Thanks, just wanted to be prepared. I don't want to be standing at the snack cart trying to square away an extra snack credit charged if that's not the most appropriate person to talk to.

I've used the DDP before and didn't have any issue also but this is the first time on the DxDDP so there's just a lot more credits to track, lol.

I'll second the "conceirge at our resort" will fix the issue. I made a mistake and the conceirge took care of the issue with no problems. It was alot easier than I thought it was going to be.

I actually felt it was easier to keep track of DxDDP credits because there are only Dining and Snack Credits instead of TS, CS and Snack credits to sort out. One thing we discovered - at CS it's easier to tell the cashier you're on the Deluxe Plan rather than say you're using a dining credit.

I agree. We had the clerk charge some things in the confectionary to our snack credits and then she rang up the other half and charged me cash (which I put on room charge). All were DDP snack items. She got confused and apologized when I asked about weren't they snack credits. I could see it wasn't worth fighting at the moment, but I did ask about it back at my hotel. They took the cash charge off of my room charge and fixed it very quickly.

In using DDP 7 times now I think we've only had 2 or 3 issues. The concierge has been the one who took care of it.

Great thank you both!
Any and all discrepencies with your dining credits have to be handled through he guest services desk or the concierge at your resort. The restaurants nor any other food vendors have any authority to look at and/or fix your dining plan issues.

really? so even at a TS, if the waiter/ress messes up, I can't even get it fixed right there before leaving?

although I think I would much prefer talking to concierge than waiting at restaurant to get fixed. just thought it is interesting that the restaurants can't even fix.

I guess you could ask a manager if you caught a discrepency the moment it happened and see what they could do, but to "fix" your credits they have to have the means and the authority to get into your reservations, and, from what I have read here previously on The DIS, this has to be done at the resort you are staying at either with guest services or concierge.

good to know! then I won't even bother dealing at the TS or snack locations. I think I'll just round up the day's receipts and bug the concierge if any discrepancies.

thanks!
