Happy Monday everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey people I know it's Monday but
where is everyone???????

Hi Philaround!
I am here, making spaghetti sauce and meatballs.
I come home from school while the kids are napping but I have to go back around 3:00.
Someday, I'm going to have a computer at school. :)
Hope you're having a good day!

Sorry, I've been totally distracted this morning. My 75 year old mother is convinced she has Lyme Disease because she pulled out a tick that apparently had been in her leg for 5 days. She is calling me nonstop! I've spent the day trying to give her factual info on Lyme's and not "hearsay." That's the problem with some of these "assisted living" places. The second anyone gets any symptom, everyone knows someone who died from it!!

Ooops, there goes my phone again! Hope everyone else is having a better day.

I'll check in early just to keep you happy philaround.
I usually post before I go to bed so that the night shift doesn't have the go to page 10 to find this.
Happy Monday!

Hello, hello everyone!:)

Sorry to hear about your mother susannen.

You all don't move too fast here, like some of the other threads. I might be able to keep up.

Suzannen, good luck with your mother. I have an 81 yo mother who lives independently in a retirement community. She has very poor vision and calls me at least once a week to tell me how bad her eyesight is. This has been going on since my father died in 1996. She called last night convinced that I had spoken to her doctor who was going to force her into assisted living at her appointment today. You get all these old ladies together and they can talk.

Good Afternoon Everyone

Sorry to hear about your mom suzannen. I hope she doesn't have Lyme Disease. I know it is hard to convince someone of something when they think they are getting it from "reliable" sources.

Hey Philaround, PEOPLE ARE HERE!!!!

Breezy_Carol, glad you decided to join us. No we aren't a fast paced thread.

Sorry this is a typical Monday for me. :( Trying to do my work but also try to squeeze a few posts in. ;)

Good luck with your Mom, Suzannen!
You too Breezy Carol!

I am fortunate that my Mom is healthy and active...and very young at heart. She is 73 and still works with me at the school every day.
Working with little children for 40 years has it's benefits!

How's your weather, Cthia?
We had a ton of rain here this weekend. It's nice now though.

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Wow montessori that is great that your Mom is still helping with the kids. They must keep her feeling young.

We are currently :sunny: with temperatures around 75. The only day that was horrible was Saturday. Hopefully tomorrow will be :sunny: and in the 70's again. I think spring has finally sprung. :Pinkbounc

Reading your post about cooking made me hungry. I should have my husband make meatballs. ;)

Suzanne............sorry to here about your mom. Hope you were able to get her mind off the tic and I hope she does not come down with Lyme desease. I've know people who had it and while there is no long term health problem, as long as it is treated, it can be a long time getting over it.

Thanks everyone for your concerns for my mom. The doctor has gone ahead and put her on antibiotics for both Lyme's Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. (She is in NC where 35% of the RMS Fever cases are). He is also having her come by once a day to check her blood and her temperature for the next 2 weeks. My BIL was diagonosed and treated for Lyme's 10 years ago and has had no permanent problems from it. Unfortunately, she is also aware that another friend of mine was one of the first Lyme's Disease patients ever. He went undiagnosed for over 15 years, had all sorts of neurological problems and finally died from the toll it took on his body at age 62. She keeps bringing him up and I keep telling her "He was never given antibiotics to treat it, when they discovered it, it was too late. You were bit a week ago!"

Meanwhile, my Dad is worried about her, so he's told me that he's not eating, and I was just informed they had to take my nephew out of school in an ambulance for a fall and a concussion. I guess it's going to be one of those weeks. PLEASE cheer me up!

awww...I am so sorry, again suzannen..((((((hugs))))))

Come on everyone, lets cheer suzanne up!
