Well I have alot of baking to do today....and I still have to carve the pumpkin...

But first my DGF is coming over so we can walk....then if I want to snitch a brownie I dont have to worry to much about it....

Where is everyone lately? ...Colleen just pops in for a min.....No BP,....No Cally....looks like its just Robin and I holding down the fort....with short visits from TN...

Hi TKer's - and Happy Holloween!!!! BOO!!!

I didn't even get a chance to lurk this weekend - so I think I am caught up - I will apologize upfront if I miss anything or anyone!!!

Friday night - Went to the Engagement party - very small and intimate - DC14(cousin living with me that I have custody of) had swim team practice from 8-9p but we decidied to let her hang with a team mate (also a neighbor and former babysitter) until we got home - then they came here and hung out for a while til around midnight then we all shuffled off to bed - the party was nice - DH ended up being able to join me - DS11 stayed with a friend and went to Trunk-or-Treat and then off to the Haunted Fairgrounds - so DH, DS9, DS4 and moi headed down the road met up with my parents had dinner then headed over to the party - DBF (best friend the bride ) has asked me to be a co-Matron of Honor ( I naturally accepted) the other MOH lives in Denver and is a very good friend of ours as well - should be fun....or could be detrimental to my state of mental well being!!!

Got up Saturday and CLEANED MY HOUSE and did laundry - then we had the DC14 "new" friend over for dinner and to hang out - nice boy - he has a difficult family life - Mom remarried - her new husband is a jerk wants nothing to do with the boy even more so since they had a child together - and mom sticks up for the new husband - amazingly enough this kid is as sweet as can be - a bit shy but very polite and gracious

Sunday I decided to get ambitious and DS11 and I cleaned the basement while DH watched the Giants beat up on the Redskins - finished laundry (that I still have to put away)

TN - yep I am still here - and hugs to you and your family

Ann - hope you are on the mend!!! Feel better soon!!

I will check back later gang - Have a safe one - I have to work tonight - so I will miss the Trick or Treaters and miss DS4 as Mr. Incredible - oh well gotta do what I gotta do

Okay well your gonna miss a funny story....till tomorrow when you all catch up and read this post.

First off I just got off work 16hour day....... ug: barking!!!

Anyway called DH and DS to see how the trick or treating went. DH decided to dress scary and sit in front (llooking stuffed) with a chain saw without the chain in his lap, while DS gave out candy. He was only supposed to jump up and start the chainsaw when the bigger kids came. Well he accidently (didn't see the wee one) and jumped up, she ran into my house and down the hall .....her mom was MAD !! DH apologized, didn't see the small feet . She then went home and called the police They came to the house and just shook their heads . After all it is HALLOWEEN!!

The POLICE?!?! What the ....... gimme a break, Halloween is supposed to be scary (which is the part I don't like - but go figure ). DS did kinda the same thing, sat in a chair outside looking scary, but he only startled one little one, he says. Before he was sitting there, my motion-activated cackling/talking witch-thingie scared a little girl enough that she wouldn't climb my stairs! I went down and gave her goodies. Geesh, I better re-think the scary part of Halloween, eh? <noted - maybe we should re-name it to HELLO-Weenie Parents! It's scary sometimes. Prepare your kids.

Did anyone mention their kids/grandkids costumes before tonight? Not sure, can't remember. Kelly was Esmerelda, the gypsy, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Matt ended up dressing as 2 different things. First a devil of some sorts while escorting the kids, and while in front of the house he wore his Scream (?) mask, and long black cloak with hood. I don't DO horror, so maybe he was Freddy? No, I think it was Scream. My nephew went as Al Capone and I totally added to his costume - an IRS form, folded up in his pocket, a scar on his face and some black shoes. Didn't matter, no one knew who he was anyway. I didn't see DNiece, but she went as Tink. Can't remember if 10-1/2 mo old nephew was dressing up or not.


Well, BOO to YOU! How much candy did you all eat? I planned for 2 pieces, and only ate ONE! Hey, I want another! LOTS to pick from!

Sounds like a fun time was had at your house last night tn

We got almost double the kids last night from previous years...... a whole 48 of them Had a group of about 10 that included Alex's girlfriends brothers and sister (of which she has 6) so that really upped the numbers right there

No costume for me, just my nice lady costume because I handed out glow bracelets again and all the kids really seemed to be excited about that

Well I was busy last night with my DGC trick or treaters.....

OK...Lets see...pans QT was a vampire(-ss?)....Peteys sweetie...was a boy/man...Very well done!....Amber was a witch..with the striped stocking and all....the twins....Victoria was ..Can you guess ...Aurora...and Elizabeth was Cinderella ...Im glad those dresses were of more use ....

The boys....umm..Oldest was a gun guy sec. oldest was a priest,
Im not sure about the two younger boys , as they had already taken off their costume befor they got to my house(they know they will still get there candy even if they dont have there costume on )and little Kateri..was soooo cute....She was a lion (storebought)..with all the mane around her face and the tail... ..Just adorable ...

Well I wasnt as good as I could have been,....I ended up eating 4 cookies in the course of the day....and 1 pkg.of smarties.....the smarties werent bad only 1 pt. for the pkg....but those cookies were 3 pts. each .....
I thought I was going to just die on the scale this morning ...but I lost .2 ....OK...I didnt eat any meals...except a very small dinner....that might explain it

It looks like we are going to luck out with another nice sunny day! ...

Did you give out "McNuggets" for halloween bet the kids loved those...Did ya have to make sure they didnt keep coming back for more with a different costume on...
My brothers did that whenthey were kids...They would have more then one costume so they could get twice as much candy in the same amount of area...CHEATERS!

Has anyone heard from Ophie or TZM?.... ..hope they are having fun too....

and Colleen?!...where have you been keeping yourself ....Nobody wants to talk on this thread anymore ...except Robin!...I can always count on Robin to talk to me! .... . HIYA Robin! ........

Sounds like Halloween went well at your place too.

Some people down the circle from us have 4 little girls. The youngest is about 2 and the next one up is probably 3 or close to 4. The 3 year old was helping the littles one with her halloween bag, soo cute, the "experienced" older sister I gave the little one her glow bracelet and she put it on and she had those adorable little baby fat rolls around her wrists Aww so cute.
