I'm thinking that you are suggesting that there was actually NOT any movie watching going on

Maybe that's what happens when YOU go to the drive in but if I were perchance able to go to the drive-in, if one were to exist in this drive-in wasteland that I live in, I would definitely being watching the movie

I always really enjoyed the "snack time" movie they played so everyone could go out and donate their money to the drive in snack bar
