Sorry I've been gone - sounds like there's a WAY cool box making the rounds - can't wait!

Everyone sounds like they are doing - for the most part - well. Ophie - glad you got your deadline completed. Sorry you had to go through a river of frustration to reach the other side.

Hiya Tinknutt - how was work? I think you're just getting home. Can you believe it....for once I actually left on-time? Wowza! Only 5 points for the lasagna? You GO girlfriend!

Cruisin - the Cruise sounds GREAT. San Diego is so beautiful. I lived there on two separate occasions when DH was stationed there. We were lucky enough to live on Coronado...I highly recommend visiting there....a beautiful town.

Kim - You've been busy! I don't usually go to the mall....except when tinknutt decides it's time for me to go She is not only a generous giver, but she is a fashion advisor, too!

DalPal - sounds like the weather is beautiful! Glad you were able to gas up! Keep working on DH and we'll have an awesome cruise! I don't think I'll make the NF meet. With a full time job and limited vacation time - it doesn't look promising! If there was anything spotted in that box, it had to be for you!

TW - you are SO close to WDW! Enjoy yourself! I can't tell you how much fun I had with the sister's last month....a lifetime highlight!

Cally: BP: Hope all is well with both of you and the families!

Well, Bunco was fun - didn't get a lot of sleep last night, but I had a good time. I didn't win....I usually don't! I'm not known for my Bunco skills! This small tropical storm has wreaked havoc on the pool construction biz. I've got 3 open holes that are in danger of caving in! Yikes! I hope we can get the gunite crews out tomorrow! However, since nothing could be done - the phones were slow and the subcontractors stayed home, so I was able to get a lot of stuff done today.

Tomorrow, I have a dental appt at 3pm and I think I'm gonna end up going BACK afterwards to finish getting the schedule ready - it's due for the subs on Friday morning.....while I'm attending the sales meeting. So, I've got a busy week ahead!

Ok, serious time....

I have not one, not two, but THREE requests for thoughts/prayers/PD for my family/friends this week.

1st - My uncle had 2 toes amputated last week, this was a PLUS considering they were gonna take the leg from the knee down, however, today he had the 3 remaining toes removed. They weren't good. He's a diabetic.

2nd - my DSIL, baby bro's wife, is having her gall bladder removed on Friday. She's been having some serious problems lately, and being a nurse, she pretty much diagnosed herself. She has an almost 4yo and an almost 1yo and a DH (<take that ANYway you want LOL), my bro, who's not the 'best' in the childcare dept. He'll step up, but not as much as DSIL would like, I'm sure.

3rd - a dear Mom, my friend, from school/Brownies/sports is having a hysterectomy on Monday. She's scared and, of course, worried about her DDs, 7yo and 4yo.

Extremely recent, as in right now, Update: taken right from my Aunt's email: "DIDN'T have the amputation!! NOW the Dr.wants tests done tomorrow of Jim's colon &stomach because he thinks he might have cancer--his blood count is 1/2 of what it should be which usually means internal bleeding..he had a CT-scan today which showed a small mass in the upper right intestine,he believes it's small but it could be cancer..if it is ..he says it's small enough at this stage to be cured!!..now..if there is no tumor (slight chance) they are also checking for a bleeding ulcer..logic being..the blood is leaching from somewhere and that would be the next possibility..at any rate his surgeries are now scheduled for Friday!!.."

Not looking good.

Okay... so either the guy in the apartment next to me is watching the National Geographic Channel or Animal Planet in surround sound or he's being attacked by an entire pride of vicious lions. Sounds like the lions are winning. Go Simba!!
