Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

Good Morning Threadkillers!

Sounds like everyone is doing well! I'm heading out the door to hit a few shops with a friend, so this will be short. We're going to World Market & Williams-Sonoma so I can make the decision on my dishes. Not buying today, but deciding!

Robin, I got your PM....yeah, it's me...I still have it. I PROMISE I'll get to it this week!

BTW, I ditto what Robin said...if ya'll want postcards send me a PM...I'm happy to oblige!

Trying a new recipe today. I have a turkey breast and stuffing in the crock-pot. I also made a Mystery Pecan Pie. Half Pecan Pie, half Cheesecake - should take away some of the teeth aching sweetness of the pecan pie. Trying out a few new pies/desserts in the next few months. Since I'm allergic to Cinnamon, I have to be creative. No pumpkin pie or apple pie for Thanksgiving and I dislike the intense sweetness of a pecan pie.

Take care ya'll! I'm outta here!

What time do you excpect us all for dinner tonight?????

Rose's turkey was good, Adrian and me picked up his bike, had to have the back tire he popped fixed and I rented a second bike for the last couple days my kids are here.

I didn't get beachside today but I was promised everybody will go tomorrow. Two kids left today four leave tomorrow and the last three leave Friday.

Ann, I wish I had your flare in the kitchen or that hubby would get as creative as you do. He is an awesome cook but tends to make the same stuff a lot. I understand we don't have the limitation you do, I'd take monotony over food allergies any day.

My blackberry gives me a good connection here but popping thread to thread is a pain. I've only visited this one and my cruisin thread since I've been on vaca.

Btw, I love the new queen of the universe button in your signature pd!

Wow the house must seem empty as the kids leave. At least it's a few at a time rather than a mass exodus!

Thanks for noticing ny button. NSalz got me that last time she was at Disney.

Hello everyone,
Well my lunch went quite nicely...we had a very nice visit...
And ANN:goodvibes ...YOU my friend are the bomb!:thumbsup2 ...
I got alot compliments on the chicken pie...I have to say I thought it was very yummy myself....and you are also right about how easy it was...
I had that, a tossed salad with home made dressing(Itl.), and strawberries, over spoungecake cups with whipped cream...
I DONT want to see the scale tomorrow...:sad2:
Thanks again!:flower3:

OMG! The dinner AND pie were awesome! The turkey was moist and tasty and the stuffing was divine! The stuffing was WET, though....however, I put a couple slices of regular sandwich bread cubed in it and let it sit for 5 minutes...took the moistness out and voila...yumminess! It was served with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans sauteed in butter (not a low-cal dinner tonight, but serving size, I was a GOOD girl!)

The pie was happiness on a plate. When I made it the layers went like this: pie crust, cheesecake, nuts, pecan pie syrup/filler. When it baked the layers finished like this: pie crust, pecan pie syrup/filler, cheesecake & nuts...it was the weirdest thing. It wasn't too sweet (like pecan pie) or too rich (like cheesecake). It was just right and will definately go on our Thanksgiving table this year!

TW - It sounds like ya'll are having a good time. It's been hot & dry down here this summer, but I wouldn't trade it for snow! I'm sorry your reception isn't the greatest, but when you can't reach us - the beach is calling you!

PD112 - I like your button, too! I always tell everyone that I'm "Queen of Everything"! PM received!

Well, it's time to exercise some of this dinner off....chat with ya'll later!

I'm SO glad you liked it! It's one of my favorite casseroles! Everything else you served with it sounds amazing! What kind of dressing did you make? Is (Itl.) for Italian? Sounds yummy!

Yum, I love bologna sandwiches but I'm a snob as to which brand I like to buy :snooty:

I'm the same way with hotdogs, only can be one brand.

Sounds like everybody had a good meal tonight.

We had spaghetti with homemade sauce.

I like Oscar Mayer for both bologna and hot dogs...although I don't care as much regarding the hotdogs.

The spaghetti sounds great! Homemade sauce is da BOMB!

Bologna - Boarshead brand for me...but Oscar Meyer (all beef Blue label) in a pinch!

Hot Dogs - Hebrew National

....and now you KNOW EVERYTHING about me!:)

We don't have either of those brands here that I know of.

I buy Schneiders Blue Ribbon Bologna and Schneiders Red Hot hotdogs.:thumbsup2

Good Mornin TK'ers!:goodvibes

Time to go to Bed!:goodvibes
