Okay, I'm going to do a new thread for exercise check-in each day, instead of continuing the same thread, because I was starting to feel a little confused with the one long one. Maybe it's just me, but anyway...

Yesterday was not a big success for me as far as exercise goes. I'm not sure what happened. No exercise and no excuse not to do it. But I did eat very well, and managed to keep my portions to a much more reasonable size. That's a success!

And today is another day and another chance to exercise! I know I can!

I really admire all of you who get out there every day, and are really committed to being active. You folks are an inspiration to me!!! Yay you!

So what did you all do yesterday? And what are you planning (or what have you done) today?

Daisy;)

Curves in the morning, 45 minutes of treadmill in the evening while watching the second half of My Big Fat Greek Wedding."

You are sooooooooooo right, Daisy! That is a winning attitude! Don't focus on what you didn't do, just keep focusing on what you ARE GOING to do!!!

Well, I did exercise yesterday, but I reported that in yesterday's thread. I will add that we were able to go on our power walk last night (45 min) then I helped my sister mow her lawn (20-25 min). Woo-hoo! Feeling lean today! Will report back TOMORROW about today's upcoming workout that I am TOTALLY looking forward to.

One of my long term goals (by the end of the year) is to do 20 full push ups (the guy kind) with little to no effort. I can do the bent knee ones with no problem, but the full ones are a task at the moment. So today is push up day and I am ready to try 6 full ones, maybe 7! :) Heck, that's progress, at first I could only do ONE!!!

I got my 40 min. of treadmilling in yesterday, but didn't do the planned crunches, squats and lunges. I am going to make sure to get those in today. Thanks for the thread, it keeps us accountable for our exercising.:D

I did a 2.5 mile walk (with lots of hills) in 35 minutes. I had a "short" walk last night because over the 4th of July holiday weekend I got up each morning and walked for an hour.

I will say that I am BEAT and my leg muscles are killing me, so I might take a break tonight because our temperature (with killer humidity) will be near 100 degrees. That's just yucky you know?

But, I am also feeling LEAN from the continued exercise!

Hey, Christine! You could always to to Potomac Mills and do some indoor walking. Waaah, I miss that place! We don't have an Ikea in Central Florida! :) Glad you are feeling LEAN! :) Woo-hoo!

Yesterday, I did a 2 mile walk in 30 minutes. And I still felt strong when I finished. Strong but hot, so jumped in the pool and did a few lengths (40'). Today, I started with Curves for 45 minutes (3 rounds). Now I need to get back into my WATP mode!

Last night I walked 1.25 miles in 25min and worked my abs. The plan for today is another walk and biceps/triceps.

TigH,
I just have to ask--I saw your post on another thread. How the HECK do you do 4.5 miles in 45 minutes. I fairly thin and not to "up there" but I don't think my body will move that fast? Geez!

As far as Potomac Mills, walking in there any other time than the morning is frustrating. There are way too many slow moving people in there walking 6 across. I don't think I could take it after commuting back and forth to work each day. I don't think I could handle "mall rage" on top of "road rage."

I walked for a hour yesterday morning. I have walked with friends every Mon., Weds. and Fri. at 8 am for years.

I'm thinking of adding other exercise in on the other days. I haven't decided what. Any recommendations?

Ha ha, Christine! I said "I power walk and enter my data at a pace of 4.5 miles an hour for a 45 minute session." So I am walking at a 4.5 mile an hour PACE but only for 45 minutes. I'd have to RUN to do 4.5 miles in 45 minutes, and my knees can't take that kind of action.

Ok, you are excused from walking - I understand the mall rage. I think the same people who walk 6 together side by side at Potomac Mills also visit the Animal Kingdom on a hot day - can never get past them! ;) But maybe you could sneak away and have a delicious crab cake for me somewhere... I'm going through withdrawl from those as well as Ikea!

You guessed it I walked again! 4 miles yesterday and 4 miles today- it takes me an hour and 10 minutes to do it- I'm hoping I can shave off 15 minutes off that time when I get smaller and smaller (still 60 pounds to go) but I don't think I could ever walk 4 miles in 45 minutes!! I'd look pretty funny doing it!

And here's a suggestion for exercise- how about swimming?? Great on the joints and an all over workout- vary your strokes (breast, butterfly and my favorite backstroke- it's easy to float when you have excess fat storage! I'm gonna try to hit the pool today but with three young kids it's hard to do anything but scan the pool every 3 seconds to make sure everyone's safe. I plan on walking every morning this week except Friday- so unless you hear otherwise count this as my exercise check-in- it gets kind of boring for me to keep saying 4 miles walked- hopefully I'll add some biking/swimming to vary it up- but I just love starting the am with a big power walk!

lower body on Monday
upper body today- I was able to go up on all my weights:Pinkbounc

Yesterday was my scheduled day off. I was really glad because I worked 2 hrs extra, & I was exhausted last night. I'm back on schedule for exercise today, though. :teeth:

GO ME!!!! GO ME!!!! I did 45 mins on the Elliptical yesterday!!!! Boy oh Boy was I a'sweatin!!! It I have picked up my pace to...2.5 mph...when I started only 2 weeks ago I could barely do 2.0 for 20 mins. I can really see me getting Physcially Fit...to bad I still have these FAT ROLLS!!! I know all in good time...but if good time could be sooner than later that would be nice!!!

(Wait til tommorrow when I tell ya what I did today!!! hee hee)

Tracy

I am confused so I will post only what I did today (since I think I was double posting my info! hee hee). Today I did 3 WATP miles with ankle and hand weights. :) :bounce:

Since I'm trying to break my 3 wk plateau I really pushed myself on the elliptical...Did 5 miles in 58 minutes... After I hit the 15 minute then 30 minute marks I felt like I could just keep going forever.

Wow, Marie! That's AWESOME!!!!! Keep up the great work! That plateau is going to *have* to break soon! Have you taken your measurements? I bet you are shrinking a lot!

I'm not weighing myself or doing measurments. I just go buy the way my clothes fit. I buy something that is tight and just wait till I fit into it. I've gone from a snug 20 to a very snug 12, comfy 14.

I'm the type of person who would let my moods and actions be affected when I had a "bad" day on the scale so i've decided to avoid it...it doesn't matter, it's just a number. How I feel is what's important...and I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!!

I just wanted to say best wishes, and encouragemet, RaySharpton (insert smiley face here...lol)
