Hi all,

Wow! I am truly blown away at the effort the folks on this board put out! Swimming, power walking, rollerblading, Curves, the elliptical trainer, biking...

It's so inspirational to come here and see how motivated other WISHers are to stay active. Thank you, thank you, all of you!!!

I had the busiest day ever yesterday, but I still managed to get 15 minutes on the treadmill. I knew that was all the time I had, so I squatted down a little, increased the incline and gave my legs a real workout! :p

Today, I'm going to try a yoga tape I've had since the LAST time I said I was going to get into shape - new and exciting!

Who else got active yesterday, and what are you planning for today? Keep up the AWESOME work, and thanks again for keeping me motivated!!!

Daisy;)

I did again...on the ellipitical!!! 40 mins!!! I know its mundane...but I am getting the job done!!!

Tracy

Woo-hoo!!!!!

Yesterday I did my push ups, worked my triceps with my hand weights, and also my shoulders! :) I did 7 "guy" push ups, WOW! That last one was hard to crank out, but I tried my best to psyche myself up for it!!! Next time it's up to 8! The girl ones are getting easier to do, but I am already up to 15 per set. So add another set, or more reps, or just stay the same with those? I also think I will bump my weight up for my shoulders too.

I went rollerblading and the time just flew by (63 minutes, I am improving my time with the extra lap woo-hoo!). Then we power walked last night (skipped mowing the lawn, so that will be in today's routine). Jen and I walked as fast as we could and poor Ross couldn't keep up. D'oh!

I noticed this morning that there seems to be SOME SIGN of an upper ab showing. I'm still a few months away from the 6 pack showing through, but this is very encouraging!!! Little by little!!!

Karen...Honey...you do realize that this 6 pack can not be put in the fridge or poured in a frosty mug, Right? LOL (I am on a role today and its only 8:30am!!!) LOL

hugs xo

I feel like an idiot posting here after TigH! The woman is unbelievable! However, I am very proud of the fact that I actually did anything in the way of exercise - so here goes: I did a one mile WATP tape and 1 mile on the treadmill. Since I'm going to be seeing TigH and Luvinit is less than two weeks, I have to do something to build enough stamina to not be gasping for breath as we walk around the Word Showcase! If you see us, I'll be the one with the fat butt between the two skinny ones!

I did 40 minutes of pilates! My abs are sore today!

It was dd's birthday yesterday so I couldn't leave to go to Curves....wanted to spend the time with her.

We did walk a lot around the Bicentennial Wagon train encampment....between walking around the wagons, and walking to and from the parking area, I'll bet we all did over 3 miles! My poor dd wanted to wear her "laura ingalls" dress I made her and it was SOOOO hot!

Then last night I did 48 mins on the treadmill while I watched the second half of So I Married an Ax Murderer. It's amazing how fast time flies when you're distracted!

Yesterday I walked 1.5miles on the treadmill and worked out my biceps and triceps.

I made it up to three miles on my 4 mile WATP dvd. I also managed to do some stretching with my Tai Chi dvd. I've just ordered Pilates for Dummies from Netflix. I thought I'd try it out for a few days before I buy anymore fitness tapes.

You guys are all awesome!

I did get out and walk yesterday. 50 min walk around the neighborhood with DH. Not quite as good as some of you but at least it was something!!!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I worked out to Power 90 sculpting tape, level 3-4 and then did the Power 90 abs 200 reps. And the rest of the day I ran after my almost 2 year old grandson! I can tell you that is quite the work out!

Karyn, if you keep this up (this idiot thing and the fat butt thing) then you are guaranteed a trip into the World Showcase Lagoon! And I know Tracy will help me toss you in there!!!

YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!!!!!! Any exercise is worthy of a celebration! Don't let me ever catch you using idiot in any sentence referring to yourself EVER again!!! (insert angry red face here and then the winky face here...) Really, you are moving and that is what counts!!!! That's two miles in one day, that is AWESOME!

Can I tell you a secret? I was not an exercise lover! When I started WISH I actually put on weight - I was power walking and eating wrong. When I started WW, then I started to lose, but I was still not really exercising. It took a looooooong time of talking about it, but eventually I dusted off my pilates tapes and eased into that. Then I dusted off my hand weights and eased into that. Then ohMom (Molli) sent me a killer routine (to kill me, really, I think) and I ended up with a better workout than I had before with my hand weights. Then I dusted off my rollerblades and added them to my routine. So back in March I was just half-heartedly making an attempt to power walk 4 times a week. Really!!!

You gotta start somewhere. That's what I love about this exercise thread, it is so motivational! Every time anyone does any exercise, even if it's just for five minutes, that is fantastic! Because it shows that we have the will to do it, the movitation, the determination, the desire, and as time goes by it all adds up.

I am really proud of you for getting out that WATP tape and for using the treadmill too. And I'm counting on you to hold me up around the WS if I have one beer too many...so that will be a good workout for ya!

In the morning (fyi..I am not a happy morning person either!!) I did 15 minutes, 1.25 miles on ellipitical then 20 minutes of upper body work.

Late afternoon I again did 15 minutes on ellipical then 40 minutes of lower body, abs and stretching.

Trying to get out of my rut of the same thing. My SIL who is a personal trainer told be a great plateau breaker is to totally switch your routine. Do something totally different. Eat your dinner for lunch and lunch for dinner. Don't let you body get use to the same thing...so today I'm gonna venture out to walk/job at 4:30pm in south florida. If you don't hear from me again it's cause I passed out from the heat!!

Thanks for starting this thread...it makes me want to go and do something so I can let you all know. EVERYONE is so WONDERFULL!!

Checking in! 3 mile WATP tape again yesterday with hand and ankle weights!

Yesturday was my first day back into the gym after an 8 day retreat at WDW, I really missed the treadmill and was feeling real good when I was done, now if I can only find that mentality when I am away on vacation:confused:

upper body yesterday and lower body today
lots of fun!:Pinkbounc

I really can't remember what I did yesterday!!!! I know I did something....................I'm at a blank! It must be all the fuzz in the brain from scrambling today to get ready for a garage sale tomorrow!!

Maybe at tomorrow's check I'll remember what I did on Tuesday

note to self -- on 7/9 I did the Crunch Yoga DVD :)

Yesterday was our bowling day. You may not think bowling is much exercise, but believe me when you bowl with my DH, it certainly is. He throws a lot of strikes, & with just 2 of us on the lane I never get to sit down. Add a 14 lb weight (my ball) to the picture & I come home feeling like I've had quite the workout!
