Hi everyone,

Wow! Another good day yesterday! I did the first two miles of WATP, and then a half-hour of yoga. I like my yoga tape - but I keep tipping over when I have to do something on one foot:rolleyes: Still, it's a good stretch and even sort of fun!

Kamgen's nail polish post has inspired me, so I'm going to give myself a little reward when I drop my first five pounds: a CD of old cowboy songs from the '30s and '40s that I've wanted for awhile now. Yes, I'm a complete nerd, but I've learned to love my nerdy side, so cowboy songs it is! Very motivating!

So today, tell me what you did yesterday and THEN tell me what little reward you'd like for taking such good care of yourself!

Have a super day, all, and thanks for posting! You keep me going!

Daisy;)

I've walked 4 miles every morning in the past 7 days except Tuesday. Unfortunately I penalized myself with a melted Swiss Roll yesterday - I refuse to call it a reward because it's so temporary and could damage my attempts at a lower weigh in- but that is in the past and today I'm energized and ready to take on the day- I'm rewarding myself this morning for walking this am with a mad dash to pick up the living room so I can have the carpets cleaned! :) Can't wait to have clean carpets! :) Keep up the great work exercising!!!!

Good morning Daisy - I worked out some last night - .75 of a mile on my elliptical glider (wanted to do minimum of 1 mile but my foot was hurting--I'm under a podiatrist's care so I didn't want to push).

At least it was something, right?

Regarding rewarding myself - right now I'm focusing on my trip to WDW the 4th of September....figured I could save up my rewards and go crazy down there :D

Have a great day!

I did my 50 min on the treadmill yesterday and then was at the pool and think I may have sweated some pounds off there as well:D. Is that possible?:p

I haven't really thought about rewards, but that sounds like a great idea. For some reason my nails seem to be growing well right now, I may go have them shaped and painted by someone else when I get my 15# clippie. That's 1# away.

mishoe01-good for you on your workout even with a hurt foot. That should be an inspiration for us all, someone who attempts to work out hurt. I hope your foot gets better soon.

Have a great day everyone!
Tammy

;) Daisy, that is what makes you a unique and interesting person, nothing nerdy about that!

Yesterday I worked my back and biceps with all the weights on the bars, woo-hoo! Ross did meaure my bicep when I had it flexed the other day and it was 11" (10" unflexed). When I started out on WW before I was doing weights, my unflexed bicep measurement was 11"! So I am happy to know that my flexed bicep measurement is now what my old flabby arm measurement once was! Also went rollerblading, but it was late in the afternoon and my heart wasn't into it, so I only did 1/2 hour just kind of spacing out. We did go power walking last night on a new route and that was fun. So we eeked out a little bit more than we had been walking and Ross and Jen felt like it wasn't too much more taxing on them, phew! Think we have a new power walking route!!! :)

Daisy,
Glad I could inspire you! :) I love my new nailpolish....and when I do my workouts I look at my nails and it reminds me! :)
I am on week two and have done my WATP 2mile today and yesterday...so already two stickers on my chart! :)

Let's keep it up! We can do this! And rewards help! :)

Had a terrible day at Curves yesterday.

First, I got there about 5 minutes before they closed (as long as you are there by closing, you can work out) But then everyone else was leaving within the next 10 mintues. So I felt like I was making the lady stay longer than she'd have needed to.

Secondly. Some woman drank from my water bottle. I looked over, she was drinking from it. I looked away, thinking I'd ignore it, then about 10 secs later looked back. She was looking at me, smiling, grabbing HER water and said "oops, I ALMOST grabbed YOUR water by MISTAKE!! Whew, that was close!!" Then proceeded to drink HER water and then left. Ok, that is SOOOO gross! ADMIT YOU MADE A MISTAKE ESP WHEN IT"S SOMETHING LIKE THIS!! So the laps around were hard b/c I was used to getting big drinks everytime I passed the cubbies.

THEN, to top it off, I had to turn the handle on the push door to let myself out and it smashed my thumb BADLY between the handle and the door frame. So now, I'm dying of thirst and in this awful pain and I've got to get home.

Still thinking of the water bottle incident gives me the heeby jeebies.

I did! But if I don't get off this board I wont get it in today before I leave for Kamgen's! I did 1 mile WATP - can't imagine doing two - it hurts my joints! See! I am getting old! I also walked the one mile rt into town to get my nails done so Kamy would have some company with her blindingly bright fingers and toes!!

Bye all - wont be checking in here for about a week! Keep upthe good work!

I did the one mile WATP at 11:00 p.m. last night. It seems to be a late night thing for me.

I am just starting on the exercise. How long should I plan to stay with the one mile before I move up to 2?

me, me, me, me, me, me, me

okay enough of me, yes I did make it another successful exercise.

I walked a mile and did a bunch of isometrics (and lunges and squats) yesterday.

I did my one-mile WATP yesterday @ 6 am, I was tired and not feeling well, so I didn't do the 2 mile. Well, about 9:30, I could tell I hadn't had enough exercise, so I did the 1 mile again.

Then last night a decided to walk the bills to the post office--20 minutes speedwalking and a little jogging--NOT MUCH! Then I did about 10 minutes of Pilates.

I had an awful day yesterday, but getting outside and then doing the Pilates finally broke my yuckiness.

And, I did the 2 mile WATP this morning!

I'm very proud of myself for working out yesterday. I didn't get to do it until about 10:15pm and I was so tired from working outside for 10 hrs and I have the sunburn to prove it. I knew that I should walk a mile and that takes about 20min so I get on the treadmill and as I get close to 10 mins I tell myself I'll stop there cause I'm so tired well I keep going and say I'll stop at 15mins. by that time i'm close to a mile so I keep going make it to one mile.

I was back on my ellipitcal yesterday. 3miles, 35 minutes. Did some stretching and arms. 9 days till formal night on disney cruise, arms still flabby...oh well, they look way better now then they did 5 months ago!!

My biggest reward is not going into Lane Bryant or Avenue!! Get to hit all the other stores and stuff fits!! It's such a natural high when you try something on and find out it's too big. It's a big motivator for me.

Thanks so much for doing these, Daisy.

I did my one hour of dance fitness class last night and hope to do the 2-mile WATP and some weights today.

Good job everyone!!

WATP = Walk Away the Pounds

A set of exercise tapes/DVDs from Leslie Sansone.

It has walking exercises you can do at home.

I worked out with Power 90 sculpt3-4 and the Power 90 Abs Blaster. It has been so dang hot and humid here, can't wait until the nice fall weather hits so I can continue with my walking. Great job to all that get out in this heat and workout.

I did!

45 minutes at Curves. I'm definitely finding that by holding myself accountable to whether or not I can post in these types of threads makes me push myself if I'm feeling sort of iffy about going :)

Can I ask? Why 45? Are you counting the stretching at the end? Or are you going around more than 3 times?

I'd go around more if I was physically able, but my muscles have reached their limit by 30 minutes and are shaking!!

Just wondering!
