Good morning, everyone!

I took yesterday off from the boards - hope everyone had a great weekend and got outside to enjoy the beautiful summer weather.

I just did my official weigh-in for the week, and I'm at 132, which puts me at a total of six pounds lost! So I am ordering my CD of old-time cowboy songs(TigH, try to restrain those snide comments:p )! And successfully defending my title as Queen of the Dorks at the same time...

Did four miles of WATP yesterday, which makes eight straight days of exercise - something I don't think I've ever done in my life! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: I don't think it would have happened without you WISHers to keep me in line! Thank you!!!

It's knowing that other people - normal, everyday people - are working hard to get healthy that really inspires me to keep going. We're in this together, right?!?

You all are totally the best!!! So tell me what you did for the weekend, and thanks again for keeping me motivated!

Daisy;)

Congratulations on your 6lb. loss!
I swam a lot this weekend. I workout inside all winter, so it's nice to swim in the nice weather.

I've been dying to post here! Finally "dragged my wretched body" out the door yesterday for my 2 mile walk! It felt sooooooo good to do that for myself! Noticed I was breathing a little harder than normal - as I haven't walked regularly for a while, but so glad I did it.

Today I am planning to ride my exercise bike!

This was the final weekend for our town's Fiesta Days, so DH and I rode our bikes into town for the Craft Fair, sidewalk sales, and wooden boat shows. After dodging my sil and her snide comment about us riding our bikes into town. I let it roll off my back-I wouldn't let her jealousy over my commitment get me down. I about fainted when she made a comment on my LOSS!!!! I just love when that happens!!! Anywho, we rode about 10 miles when all was said and done.
Yesterday I did my Zumba DVD on my computer in the basement to stay cool!!
Way to go to everyone!!!

I walked last night.I am still not up to a mile yet but I did increase to 8/10 of a mile.I have been doing 6/10. Hopefully once we get some cooler weather I will feel like doing more. Even at 8:30 last night it was still pretty hot.

I worked out! Oh, Daisy, congrats on ordering your CD! ha ha! :) That is great! We all have our own different tastes in music. I love merengue, but nobody else in my family does. Oh well!

Let's see, Saturday I went rollerblading and I did my lunges, squats, etc. Yesterday I did 11 guy push ups and MAN it was hard to push out those last 3!!! Yikes! Also used my weights for my triceps and shoulders. Walked around EPCOT for my "exercise" mu ha ha ha! And worked my right arm alot with "fork lifts" and "beer lifts". :) No wonder my left arm isn't quite as strong as my right arm!

My goal for last week was 6 straight days of 1 mile "walks" on the treadmill and I did it! We are headed to Myrtle Beach tomorrow but DH says he get up early with me and walk the beach so I don't get too behind on my walks....let's see if he can keep up!! LOL!! His legs are about a foot longer than mine making me take three steps to his one!

Congratulations to all who accomplished their workout goals and a big high five to those who just started!! Let's move it!!

Melissa

I worked out Friday (20minutes of Windsor Pilates) and Saturday (1/2 hr Curves, plus 1/2 hr roller skating), but could not drag my butt off the couch to do anything yesterday....trying not to beat myself up about that (I try to only take 1 day off a week, and I hate having done that on day 1 of the week :(

I definitely got my exercise in this weekend!

Friday at work we got in an unusually heavy book shipment from our warehouse. I had to lift, move, unpack, and sort about 70 big boxes of books. Lots of calories burned there :D

Then on Saturday morning I went to work out for the first time at my gym. I was really lucky here, as I have a friend who actually got inspired by my success with Atkins to try it on her own, and she's been losing like crazy! :) Anyway, she wona free 3 month membership to a gym in a raffle at her job, but she already belonged to another gym, so she gave it to me! Very generous, as it turned out to be worth over $200! I convinced my GF to get a membership, too, so we will be working out there regulary now, hopefully. We're supposed to go back Tuesday for another workout!

I did!!! I walked about 1.5 miles each on Sat and Sun. I also worked Upper body and abs at home. I'm so proud that I worked out on Sunday even though I had already gotten in the 5 days of walking that I had wanted to do.

Oh noooooooo...my elliptical is dying. Do I buy another?? Anyway, I did 3+ mile for 40 minutes and 30 or so minutes of windsor pilates on Saturday. Went to party and was pretty good girl so I decided to give my body a break and was a slug on Sunday. It was so nice to actually read the paper and be a bum!

Happy Monday all....

I did the 2 mile walk on Sunday. Today I only did the 1 mile and 50 sit ups but it's better than nothing!

I chased my 20 month old grandson around the zoo for two hours, does this count as exercise? Having found this board has made me stay motivated to keep up with my workouts and WW's plan..thanks to all!

Can I count mowing the side of my mountain as excersise?

I did my 2 mi walk on Sat., and took Sunday off.

Took Fri off, as we had to go to the grocery store to get ready for our company over the weekend. Guess my exercise was pushing the shopping cart & hauling the groceries! LOL

Sat was heavy house cleaning day. Although I didn't do a specific workout, I did get a lot of exercise between cleaning & running up & down the basement stairs. It amazes me that 6 months ago I could barely walk up & down those same stairs, now I'm up & down them fairly easily!

Sun we went to the pool. I swam 3/4 mile at a pretty good pace in the lap lanes plus some other "play" swimming in the main area of the pool. Swimming really is am incredibly good form of exercise. I felt like every muscle in my body had a good workout. :teeth:

Tonight, Mon, DH & I did a 2 mi walk around the neighborhood before it started to rain. I was still tired from yesterday, but was able to keep up a pretty good pace. I also did 30 modified push-ups.
