Who else teared up at the ship's horn?

Am I the only sensitive sap here? I got all misty eyed when I heard the ship's horn on our Wonder cruise. Of course I also tear up when I see the castle on Main Street.

I know I'm gonna start bawling as soon as we start to pull out of port.......it's just so unbelieveable that we are actually doing this. 6 years ago I would have never imagined being at a point in my life that I'd be able to do this......

I tear up when I see the Castle too...and the EPCOT ball...and the MGM icon....and the Tree of Life....and the Boardwalk.....

I dont tear up or cry. But I get the big grin on my face and I am like a child, everything is just a wonder to me. Its the magic of the ship, I look goofy the whole trip, with a big grin on my face.
But I notice other people with the same awe and grin on their faces.

We just got back form our first Disney cruise - and definitely not our last! We were on the 6/29 Wonder. I loved hearing the ship's horn....I was happily surprised when we were watching our video the other night and realized that we got it on tape, even from the verandah in our stateroom! What a great vacation!! I cannot say enough good things about it. Thanks for all the info. this board gave me. I thought about it a lot when we were away.

I got teary eyed, but for a different reason. On my first cruise in 2000 I went with my parents, it was about their 5th cruise. They thought it would be funny if they didn't tell me about the horn. Well, we were up on deck 10 watching the boat pull away and we were right next to the horn. Well, when it blew and I saw the ship start to pull out I had my first panic attack! It was a horrible feeling, but thankfully it only lasted 2 minutes at the most! I felt like a little baby - I was 28! Luckily I never felt like that again and now I love the horn!!!

The horn REALLY got me-- I knew it would! It made the trip feel "real." Can't wait to hear it again onboard!
