Who else misses the Main Street Electrical Parade?

I miss this parade too. About 18 years ago when my son was 2 we loved going to Disney and seeing this parade. I remember how excited we were when we first heard the music start (I think the song was called Baroque hoedown) I have a video pf the parade (made with one of those really heavy vcr recorders they used to make) and my son just cleared a huge area and started to dance when he heard the music start. Everyone around him was clapping and cheering him on, it was such a happy Disney moment for us. I like Spectromagic, but the Main Street Electrical Parade will always be my favorite.

I miss it too, but my DBro (26) and I (23) can still hum the entire thing thatnks to years of listening to the tape (yes tape, not CD) of the soundtrack! We loved that parade!!! I like SpectroMagic, but it's just not the same!

I REALLY MISS MSEP TOO. My favorite part was the couples dancing under the light canopy in the costumes full of lights. As a girl, I used to take a string of white Christmas lights, turn off the lights in my room and dance around, pretending I was one of them.

I am in my 30's and my dad is in his 60's. We have the music on CD and we both get teary eyed when ever we play it. We were fortunate enough to have seen it during it's last go round (2003?). My husband couldn't understand what the fuss was all about. I guess it is all about tradition and wonderful memories with family.

Wow, thanks from me, too! My 16-mos-old started dancing like a maniac when the music started. Let's all hope the parade comes back to WDW someday...

I also miss The Main Street Electrical Parade!
We saw it last in 2000! Spectro magic was not the same magical parade as
Electrical Parade. The music is just not as magical either!
