I just watched the Dallas reunion. I loved seeing the cast and clips, but it made me relize how much I still miss it. I told DH this past Friday, when I was trying to find something to watch on TV, if Dallas was still on, I would just be settling into a good show. On the bright side, I told DH I want the first two seasons for Christmas.

I've been watching the reruns on SoapNet. I think we're on season 11 now, nearing the end. Then only two more seasons and I will have seen every Dallas episode!! I wasn't old enough to watch it when it aired originally, but did watch it a little in the last season or two. I do remember watching the final episode. I TIVOed the reunion and will watch it tomorrow hopefully.

I was young when it first started and my first episode I remeber is who shot J.R.? I caught up with it right after the series stopped airing on TBS I think. J.R. has to be the mst awesome character ever created.

My entire family watched Dallas every Fri night.... We had to be home for the show....I also watch the reruns on Soapnet....but sure miss the weekly series....I enjoyed the reunion show.....I also loved Knots Landing....

I watched the 1st episode when I was in college, and never turned it on again. Little did I know that I would end up working in JR's office building! But we watched the reunion show last night because DH wanted to....bad bad bad!

I don't miss it. Probably because I drove through there just yesterday ;)

I found it to be a guilty pleasure! It was over-the-top, a bit campy, had pretty much no redeeming value and was GREAT FUN to watch. I even managed to get my soap-hating DH to watch it the first few years of our marriage.

I thought the reunion show was pretty silly but couldn't bring myself to turn it off!

I loved Dallas, started watching from the first episode and watched every subsequent episode all they way through to the end. I think I have seen every episode maybe 3 times or more when it was repeated in the late 80s and through the 90s. I have the first two seasons of Dallas on DVD. I enjoyed the reunion last night if only to see some of the original cast talk about their working on the show. Someone mentioned Knots Landing, that was another of my favorites as well. I hope they start to release that on DVD soon as well.

I was going to recommend SoapNet also. :)

I watched it on soapnet when I went home for lunch. But soapnet changed the time on it again. I caught a show Friday and it had Callie and JR leaving with Bobby to europe for awhile and Ashton came back on for Cliff.

I'm mad, cause I never saw the last couple of years.

Anyone know if Miss Ellie is alive yet.

I'm surprised Priscilla Presley B. wasn't on the reunion show or Donna, Ray's first wife.

I was a little disappointed in the reunion show, I think SoapNet did a better reunion show this summer.

Big time fans here and we have the reunion show on tape that we'll watch tonight. We hardly ever missed a Friday night show and saw the whole series a few years ago on TNN. I just ordered the first 2 season on DVD from Overstock.

Isn't it ironic that Howard Keel died yesterday, the day the reunion aired? He was the second Jock Ewing and was also in a bunch of awesome musicals.

Yes, Barbara Bel Geddes is still very much alive, but alas not in the best of health according to what I have heard. That is why she chose not to attend the Reunion.

I was old enuf to totally enjoy Dallas, Knots Landing and that other show on Friday night? (I am so bad with remembering) It had Ronald Reagan's first wife as the matriarch? I loved those shows! I remember taping Knots Landing and then I started my labor with first child in the early morning (1am ish) and watched the tape while in labor. haaaaaaaaa
I missed the first season or two of Dallas though. I certainly got on the bandwagon with those shows!
I too will miss Howard Keel. GREAT old actor.

I do!!
A chain of gas-stations over here in Germany has a promo running now: Each time you buy at least 20 liters (~5 gallons) you can buy one complete season of Dallas on DVD for only €9.95 (~$13).

Falcon Crest was the show that had Jane Wyman as the matriarch of a wine family-dynasty.
I loved Knots Landing and Falcon Crest as well.....boy, when you look back on those shows, what good training grounds for actors/actresses we still see today.
Everyone from Nicollette Sheridan to Alex Baldwin. They sure had some steamy story lines for their day!!
:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Wow, this takes me back.

Wednesday night was St. Elmo's Place
Thursday night-Knot's Landing
Friday Night Dallas and Falcon Crest

I watched Knot's Landing on the Cable Channel -Soap
and now I am trying to watch Dallas

What cracks me up is the back ground music. Plus the old computers and phones they used. And the style of clothes, glasses, sun-glasses.
