Little Background:

Last year, I decided to go back to college part time to complete my degree. I have been met with some challenges trying to do it all, work, kids, family, but have been determined to do my very best.

My very best in school is A quality work. I am a very dedicated student, but very hard on myself.

For example, I had a test for my new class on Thursday. The way the course is set up, there is a test every week. (meets 2x a week.) I know I at least got 3 wrong on this test... and its really bothering me that I know I didn't get an A. I studied long and hard, and read the material and the notes... but still didn't get an A.

My hubby is saying that its ok that I didn't get an A this time.. and it was the first test for the course, and that I can make it up.

Knowing that I didn't get a perfect score is really eating me alive.
I know in the whole scheme of things its not a big deal, but it is for me...

"I know in the whole scheme of things its not a big deal"......

keep telling yourself that over and over again.

It would be great to get perfect scores on all your tests, but how many people do you know who can claim that distinction?

Try very hard to be a little more relaxed and be happy that you are doing so well in school. You are carrying a heavy load with all you are doing.

Sometimes I'm like that.

I used to worry so much that I was giving myself anxiety attacks.

I just had to learn to take things in perspective.

If you have one test a week, then in the long run, 3 wrong on a test isn't going to matter much. (but wow, a test a week is a lot).

I'm sure you'll do fine, you seem very dedicated.

When you have work, kids, a husband, the house and school (along with a million other things going on), you can't be perfect all the time. As long as you tried your best, you have nothing to be ashamed about. Now if you were out with the girls instead of drinking, then we could be talking. ;) It's hard going back to school with all the outside responsibilties and you should be commended for it!
