Our dates are 8/29 to 9/4!! Going to visit the grandparents near Tampa 8/27 to 8/29! Got the free dining plan! So far have made all PS/ADR's without any trouble!!

August schedule is out! Spectromagic is on Monday, Aug 29! I thought for sure it'd be Tuesday!

Me and DH are going to arrive 8/29 too (our flight departures 8/28 from BR)
and we are staying thought 9/7.
What is the date to the Labor Day holiday? Do u think there will be great crowds?
tks :)

We will be there the 5th-10th (me, hubby, 2 kids, and my parents). I have gotten all of the AR so far.

Monday - Crystal Palace for dinner
Tuesday - 50's Prime Time for dinner
Wednesday - CRT for dinner

I will be calling tomorrow for Garden Grill for dinner and friday for Chef Mickey.

Praying for good weather!!

Where do you find the schedule for the nighttime shows like Spectromagic??

On the Disney website - there is a calendar feature. September is not out yet - should be out early July.

Our PS/ADR look like this (all dinners unless noted!)

Mon: CRT
Tues: Ohana, maybe? PrimeTime? Sci-Fi? not sure on this one!
Wed: Le Cellier - Lunch
Thurs: Whispering Canyon or Shutters?
Fri: R&C for Illuminations
Sat: Boma? Big River Grille?
Sun: Kona breakfast

We'll be at WL Aug. 27-Sept. 4 :cool1:

We too got all of our AR's with no problems. I was so worried, I literally set my alarm and called each day at 6am (we're central time). Each time, I got through instantly with no wait at all and was able to get the exact times and dates of everything we wanted - WOO HOO :flower:

OK, call me dumb! I have looked on the calander page many times. I see the park hours and the infor about EMH. Where do I need to look exactly to see firework and parade schedules? Thanks!

Also, LglBlonde, did you double book AR? Is that why you have two choices? I was wondering if that was OK.

It took me a few minutes to figure it out too. When you are on the calendar page - click on the specific date you want info on!

 I have double booked some of my ARs.... I did it last year too and no one said much about it!! I had it all planned and then things changed on me - like the Spectro being Monday night - and then also with whether we'd go to Fantasmic on Wed or Fri, etc. So I booked the others a few days ago, and then called back and booked the new ones.

NO NO...Labor day is on the 5th of September. I have 10 days reserved for the 5th - 15th of September. May be doing AKL or if no one tags along with me, I'll be doing good ole' POP again.

Crowds on or after Labor day itself are, historically, amazinglingy low given the fact that most kids have to start getting into the gear of school. Almost everyone is done vactioning for the Summer around this time. The weather will be an issue on this month. It's going to be steamy hot and the chance of rain is the highest among the monthly percentages. Sept is hurricane season as well. I wouldn't worry about it though.

I'm already used to the heat so I can deal with it. I was there in late May and it was NASTY hot. I also live in Houston, TX which has just about the same weather as Florida....just a tad milder.

It's gonna be a fun month for wdw. We should be able to avoid a possible Pirates and Spaceship Earth closing. Pirates may go down in the Fall along with Spaceship Earth. We all know how sketchy the closing info can be on the net but I've read Pirates may close in September for the addition of Jack Sparrow and, possibly, some other ride elements that relate to the new movie. SE is rumored to go down as early as October for a major overhaul or change. The Pirates rehab is official with no official closing date. The SE rehab is rumor for now (keep hearing about it around the net).

******Event info is found on the Disney homepage by CLICKING ON THE DATE number on the calendar itself. I'm hoping I can see, at least, Wishes and Illuminations in September but the MK is slated to close at 7PM every night in September.

See you all there

Thanks! I found it. I am a ding-dong!! I am hoping that the parks will be a little more crowded since there is free dining. With more people, I hope they keep the parks open later. I don't want to miss the evening stuff!

"the MK is slated to close at 7PM every night in September" Where did you get that info? I have seen in the past that it has closed as early as 7pm but as late as 9pm. (on some other webpage that keeps the past park hours).

we are going Sept.5-11.I have been getting up at 6:55 to call and have gotten the exact times I have wanted.I hope that the days I have planned work out once the rest of the info is released. :confused3

Mon:1900 Park Fare(dinner)
Tues:CRT(breakfast)
Wed:Le Cellier(lunch)
Going to get-CP,The character breakfast in AK,and Sci Fi.Unless I change my mind.
I am hoping for later hrs too. :wave2:

I'll be staying in the CBR. The only PS I've made so far is CP for breakfast on Wed, Aug 31. I really can't decide on any other restaurants.

If you goto the Disboards homepage and click on the park hours link, you can enter your travel dates and it will project the park hours for that time period. This is based on historical data...I believe. The week of Labor day has the NIghts of Joy going on...these concerts begin at the MK at 7:30PM so the park is GAURANTEED to close at 7PM on Friday and Saturday of that week.

My apologies for giving the wrong date for Labor Day! We depart on Sunday, so I have Sept. 4 on the mind!!

I would think that at least up until Labor Day, MK would have normal park hours til 9 pm? In any event, we are going to do Spectro/Wishes on Aug 29. And being four adults (my 26 yo brother & his girlfriend are joining us), MK will not really be our "central" park. We'll be more into the other three based on our (DH & I) trip last year.

I'm takin' a newbie 8/31-9/5!!! I love taking people who've never been before. This is a girls only trip for me and is probably a once in a lifetime since I don't usually travel without my kids (and I WON'T be telling them where mommy went on her trip!).

We are booked at Pop with free dining and I am SO excited!

We haven't had any trouble booking our ADR's either, LOVE IT!
