Who else has a DH that cooks like this?

I've done that. Not to that song, but I have danced and sung to Disney tunes while cooking supper.

My defence is that I have a 6-yr-old and a 3-yr-old. I wouldn't do it without them present. Honest. Really.

I have a husband that claims he can cook, but then has to ask me 50 million questions, with #1 always being 'How do I know when the meat is cooked?" Ugh. I really don't want food poisioning, so I will take over the cooking.

Growing up my father didn't cook. He baked. He baked cookies for us kids. He didn't dance. But, then entire time baking, he always used a Julia Childs' voice.

I do cook now and then. Mostly I either finish cooking when wifey has to leave for work, or I grill. I try to keep up what my father started so I can entertain the kids while I cook.

Just one thing though. Cooking in the kitchen can be goof-off time. But when it's on the grill, that is serious business. No goofing around at the grill. You don't mess around with meat being perfected on the grill, especially when it comes to steaks. No time to goof off anyways, since it only takes about 4 minutes to grill steak.

My husband's far too serious for that kind of stuff, unfortunately. He's got many wonderful qualities, but he's not very playful.

Aww he looks great! Mine won't even make scrambled eggs his idea of cooking is calling papa johns but i love him just the same! Plus I love baking and cooking mostly so And I usually dance and sing or put on my own fake cooking show with some bams and that is such a winner winner turkey dinner lol

Oh my WORD! Are you my husband? He has the exact same attitude toward grilling his steaks... (and to be honest, he grills a really perfect steak). We recently went over to a (girl)friend's house and I was mortified to discover that, after a quick size-up of our host's grilling skills, DH actually staged a coup and took over cooking all the steaks! At another man's house!!! Sheesh.....
