Who else can't wait for the Spring?

I HATE winter, especially the dark mornings and evenings, so depressing! ..not to mention the snow and bitter winds we're having too. :headache:

I am ready, WAS ready yesterday, no earlier, :lmao:
I am SO over the cold and wind and Dark!! SUNSHINE please!!!:lovestruc

 Sorry for everyone suffering through the cold temperatures. Been there, done that, so I know what it's like.

I'd just like to say that if anyone truly hates the cold weather and really, really wants to live where it's warm, then do it! Of course, not everyone can pack up and move tomorrow, but honestly, you can make the change if it's something you really want to do. It could be years down the road, but it can be done!

We made the move to a much warmer climate (after many, many years in New England) and we are loving it.:cool1: The summers here are HOT () but the rest of the year is unbelievable. I still marvel at waking up to sunshine almost every single day, wearing flip flops year-round, grilling and dining out, riding bikes in the middle of winter... heck, just sitting outside and letting the sun beat down on me!

We do not take this weather for granted. We know what it is like to freeze your you-know-what off for months at a time and not feel the warmth of the sun. Hang in there, spring is coming!

Read your post and SMILED ear to ear. :)
We are actually looking at Arizona AND Fla right now for a second home to use until we retire..(dh gets many weeks off and I am se) ....Medical issues have prompted us BOTh to get in gear earlier than most would think about retirement. Fortunately we really should be able to do that within a short period of time and I am SO looking forward to it...waking up in SUN and feeling warmth on my body.....oh, I just SMILE thinking about it......Mind you, very nervous as I do not want to be too far from my ds who is an only child and will be off to college soon....so picking a place is amounting to so much more that just US choosing where we want to be, or think we want to be.....we shall see.............so, for now, SPRING SPRING, arrive early!!! :cool1:

You are so right about it being more than just choosing where you want to go without regards to others! For years, my husband and I had planned on settling in Florida after our youngest graduated from high school. Well, our older daughter married a young man from Arizona, our son settled in Nevada, and our younger daughter fell in love with the University of Arizona. So, here we are! I never thought we'd end up on the other side of the country, but we did. It's been an adventure to be sure, and we are loving it.:)

You never know where life might take you!

I am so ready for spring. It has been in the 20-30s this week and where I am from that is freezing. Also sick of the short daytime hours. Not looking forward to the pollen and allergy crap that comes with spring but I am looking forward to green grass, leaves back on the trees and flowers.

We have about a month of pretty weather and then BAM..the humidity hits.

But that is better than freezing your butt off and not being able to do anything outside. :headache::sad2:

Me me me. I hate winter, hate driving in the snow. Jan. & Feb. last so long and July & Aug. go by with the wink if an eye.

ME! Look at the tag line the Tag Fairy gave me over 5 years ago! LOL!

Oh, I could have written this same exact post by luv!!! Only we are in Southern California!!! :sunny:

Lived my whole life in New England....froze every winter (which seemed to be getting longer and longer)!!! We are here due to a job relocate for DH and like luv, I marvel everyday as well. Right now at 11am it is 69 sunny, warm degrees. :beach:

Unlike Florida, I will say there is NO HUMIDITY in Southern California....oh I know humidity well from New England....nope, we have zero!!! So we can tolerate the high heats in the summer months here because of that fact!!! ::yes::

Like luv says, hang in there. It will be Spring in just a few more months!!!:thumbsup2

Not me. I used to hate winter and sit inside just waiting for it to be over but not any more. I decided I would make the best of it and find winter activities I enjoy. I love having the seasons and it is part of why I moved back to Ohio from Florida. There are things I like about all of them and some things I don't like about all of them but I want to have all of them.

Yesterday I went on a 2 hour snowshoe hike and today I met up with some of my friends with kids to go sledding. In a couple of hours I am going out to do a nice winter run. I have found that having fun winter activities makes it much more enjoyable than sitting in the house and staring at the snow wanting it to go away.

Time goes by so fast. Years seem to take shorter as I get older and I just don't want to wish it away any faster then it is going already.

Me! So I can make the move back up to the lake, of course.. :thumbsup2

But since I have several neat projects lined up for the winter - and I've been working on the first set every day since Christmas night - the time just seems to be flying by.. I'm really enjoying myself - and I feel really good - so I'm sure that's holding the "winter blahs" at bay....:goodvibes

Considering how crazy the weather has been over much of the country, I'm really wondering what that means for this coming spring.. Maybe if we have another "dramatic shift", it will be for the better!! :thumbsup2

I hate the cold weather in the winter with a passion but I don't care for the weather in the spring either. I can't stand it being cold in the morning, then warm, then cold...if its gonna be warm it should just be warm so I don't have to have layers darn it! I love summer and thats about it! LOL!
