My DH took over doing all of the grocery shopping when I got sick, DD will go sometimes and she does a great job! Now DH he can really shop! He is so good at it! His father used to all of the grocery shopping for his Mother, and I have been told he was also great at it. (he has passed)

On Monday I went to the grocery store with DH as he wanted to do some shopping! Oh My Gosh, I was never so shocked! This man loves to shop, he has became a regular and everyone knows him now and talks to him etc. They all know me as well, as I have shopped there for 20 years! I let him do his thing, man does he have a system! OK better than mine! He was just full charge! :goodvibes He has a system for putting the items on the belt at check out, bagging etc. He even has his own Price Plus Savings Card. :rotfl: Now I have to get him to cut coupons! :earboy2:

DH now has a new job! He just loves it!

Hmm...maybe if I explained to DH that he could come up with his own system, he'd be more eager to go to the grocery store. He has a hard time on his own--even if I give him a list describing exactly what I want and in which aisle it's located. :teeth:

I do all the shopping--otherwise the only thing we'd have to eat would be cookies, Little Debbies, and potato chips. Oh, and lots of batteries and light bulbs--two things I always forget and DH stocks up on big time.

I do
And considering we had French Toast for dinner last night...I REALLY need to go shopping! heheeh

We do it together but when we get to the store we each go our separate ways. He's in charge of somethings and I do the rest.

Mostly my wife because when I shop I spend about twice as much as her so she tries make sure she does the food shopping. :teeth:

Usually we go together since I can't carry the Sam's Club stuff. Sometimes we go separately....I'll hit the supermarket on my day off or he'll hit Sam's Club if I'm working a weekend.

I like when he goes....he always buys ice cream. :)

Mostly me. My DW buys a lot of junk food when she goes with me. It's costs $50 to $100 more when she "helps".

We both do, about once a monthe we go together and really stock up. The rest of the time DH will stop and get things on his way home from work or I will but it isn't much (usually junk food) :goodvibes

We both do it, but rarely together. We really don't do a weekly shopping trip. I'd say one or the other is in the grocery store about every other day. I don't think there is any period that one of us hasn't gone for 3 days straight. Hubby does prefer one store and I always go to the other. It just works out. I get the deals at the store I like, and he gets em at the store he likes. It works out too because we really don't like to freeze meats.

me. i really don't like it, but it's better for our budget if i do it. :teeth:

our grocery store has a lot of stupid checkout people (i avoid probably 3-4 of the checkout people's lines), it's always crowded, and to top it off, they are always moving things so i can never find what i want.

I do but I like it when DH goes on occasion because he tends to buy different things then I do and it helps give me ideas. He usually comes home with a cart full of junk food though.

We do it together.

I HATE grocery shopping and can go through the whole store and only throw a few things in the cart, so we would end up having nothing to eat. He has to come along to ensure we have enough food for the week.

We do our grocery shopping at Super Walmart though, so our shopping trip usually includes shopping for a lot of other things besides groceries. We like one-stop shopping.

I am the only one that does the shopping. If I left it up to DH, then we would have a house full of hotdogs, koolaid, ramen noodles, and frozen pizza! :rotfl:

I do all the shopping. If I let DH grocery shop we would be eating generic everything right down to the potato chips! He hasn't set foot in a grocery store in years.

DH and I have a deal...

I work and pay the bills and he does all the shopping, all the laundry, takes care of the dogs, runs errands, does about half of the cooking...

Works for us!! :)

I do the grocery shopping in our family! I have to say that it is the one thing i hate to do most, but if i let him do it I would have to make a list for him because he doesn't really know what we need. He does cool though!!! :teeth:

I do it. DH will do it if I am sick or can't and it needs to be done but he buys way too many things we dont need so I prefer to go. :)

We go grocery shopping together. Before we go to the store, we sit down and make up a list of what we will do for dinner the next week, and then make a list of stuff we need to buy while we are at the store.

We used to go together but now that I have 2 mornings off a week I would rather go then when it's not a madhouse and the shelves are stocked. Plus when I take DH the bill at the end is MUCH higher. He chunks whatever looks good into the basket as we shop.
