Who does REAS?

Who does REAS - only those couples traveling without their children? It really sounds nice but we will have 2 DDs (3.5 & almost 6 at time of sailing) with us. Just sort of seems silly to have the extras like the rose petal turndown and champagne breakfast with 2 DDs there. Or is there still a way to have a romantic time? I should note that this will be our first-ever cruise - May 2006.

Your children might be in the kid's club enjoying a movie while you ~enjoy~ the romantic turn-down service. And you can order enough breakfast for everyone from what I've read!

hello

bringing DS5 & also doing the REAS package

i figure if we're "lucky" (no pun intended) DS will stay in the club when we get back from our Palo dinner and have our romantic turn down, and if not, oh well, i'm sure DS5 will enjoy the rose petals

you can also order enough off the champagne breakfast menu for all of you in your room

being in the cabin with a 5 year old will probably mean not to much "romance" going on:crazy:

We just returned from the 11/6 sailing and did the REAS. It was totally worth it!! We traveled with a 6YO and a 3YO and had no problems, because we were "lucky" they stayed in the clubs during our turndown service. We were able to order as much as we wanted for the Champagne breakfast, and had no problems with that. It was so easy to just walk on the ship and not have to worry about any ressies, as they had already been made! I'm definately going to book it for our 2005 cruise, and add it when it's available for 2006 sailings!!!!

We recently did the REAS package and had our 2 teenaged boys with us. Like someone else mentioned, your kids can share in the "Champagne breakfast", if you want, by simply ordering enough food for them, too. (Obviously not including the champagne for them. LOL).
As for the turn-down service, we all enjoyed seeing the rose petals, but that aspect of the package was the thing that we cared about the least, so it didn't matter to us that our sons were sharing the cabin. (Incidently, for our next Disney cruise, we've booked the boys into their OWN cabin, across the hall from us :p )
Another romantic thing that's included with the package is your dinner at Palo. It's a beautiful restaurant with no kids in sight at all :)
And don't forget the couples' massage!!! It was wonderful... ::yes::

All in all, I feel this is a great package, even if you're traveling with kids :)

Thanks for asking this - I've been pondering it myself! I think I am gonna go for it! My two DSs will be 5 and 2 when we sail.

We are heading out on the Wonder on Dec 16th and have also booked the REAS package. We are traveling with our 9 yr old son, and I imagine (hope) he will be as content to stay in the clubs this time around as he was on our last Magic cruise! Either way, it's nice just to have the peace of mind not to have to rush about trying to make all those reservations!!
:)

We have booked the REAS for our 12/9 cruise and we have a 5 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old. The only ressie I'll have to worry about is getting a spot in Flounders for DD when we have our couples massage and our Palo dinner.... Not doing it so much for the rose petals although I'm sure it will look pretty... not counting on alot of 'alone' time either, but we find romance in the small things, so that will have to do...

I cannot wait for ours! we too will be traveling with a 4 year old and a 3 year old. I think they will love having breakfast served in bed with us and Im sure my daughter when she comes home from being in the club will get a big kick out of the rose petals. I sure dh and I will get some alone time to enjoy this escape! ;)

I pride (LOL) myself on knowing all things Disney but not about DCL :( but will be an expert by my 11/11/06 sailing.
Can someone please explain what exactly this is? Thanks.
