Do you all do breakfast and early dinner on your vacation. When we vacation, we always have a nice breakfast and then combine lunch/dinner. I am currently scheduled for CRT for breakfast and then LTT for 4:30 later that day on our 1st day at the MK. What do you think? THANKS!

We do this a couple of times per trip. We schedule a late breakfast (between 10 and 10:30am) and then dinner between 5 and 5:30pm. We may have an afternoon snack but no real lunch.

I am not human before I have a decent breakfast. It doesn't have to be a huge buffet, but I'm not happy with just a yoghurt either.
So, we have breakfast in the morning.
Then there are two possibilities:
- Late dinner and some snack during the day
- Late lunch/ early dinner (you know, eating an early dinner from the lunch menu because it's cheaper) and a late evening snack.

Snacks can be anything from a Dole whip to a shared sandwich or so.

yes, that is exactly what we do. we get an early ADR for a TS breakfast
(7:30-8 am). we might eat a snack throughout the day or small counter service. then we have an early ADR for a TS dinner (4-5 pm).

Last year we were good with a full breakfast (not even TS, even a hot breakfast at the POP) and a dinner. We only ate a complete lunch one day and then I had to skip Ghiardellis because I was too full. (not good at all! :rotfl: )
We did do some snacks like popcorn or mickey ice cream. That's what keeps me going!

We do! We have breakfasts planned for each day of our week trip, lots of buffets too. Then dinner around 6:30.

If we get hungry during the day we usually snack or share a CS item

Kind of...we normally do a very early lunch - like 10:30-11, then an early dinner around 4-5. It's great because you miss the crowds at the restaurants and end up touring while everyone else is eating.:cool1:

We tend to have just a light breakfast in the room. For me, a large meal and ToT is not a good thing:eek: If we want to do a big breakfast, we usually do more of a brunch thing before we go back to the resort for a break, then a CS for dinner. Either way just one TS a day for us.

This is why we decided on the DxDP. Early breakfast in the parks, dinner, with maybe a snack in the middle.

My wife and I usually have breakfast around 9:00 A.M. and then plan on dinner around 6:00 P.M. Every other day, we have a light breakfast and a fairly big lunch at around 1:30 P.M. We're never in a rush so this fits our schedule just fine.

We usually have a large early breakfast, like a buffet around 8am. Share a CS lunch. Dinner around 8pm at a TS.

DDP family of 4:
We will use two CS for Breakfast Platters, two snacks for drinks/muffins/etc.
For lunch we will do either a TS or if we are ending the day with a TS, we will eat 2 CS and 2 snacks for lunch.
Either way you go, the TS is easily two meals no matter where you eat; whether a menu or buffet.
Somehow we still end up with food back in the room from the meals that we eventually use for a snack if not a meal by the end of the stay.

This is the plan for the day we do MGM.
We have an ADR at Hollywood & Vine at 10:30 and then dinner at 4 at Prime Time. I figure we can have oatmeal and yogurt in the room before we head out. That should be more than enough for our family.

We like a nice breakfast when on vacation. It keeps you going thru the day and it's a treat in that at home breakfast is usually cereal or fruit or something quick.

We're taking our son this time who will almost be 2 when we're there so I made my ADRS based on his eating schedule. I have character breakfast ADRS every day for either 7:45, 8am or 8:15am. I then have TS dinner reservations for around 5:30pm every night (we like to have this time to relax). As far as the rest of the day we'll "wing" it with CS or snacks.

I've been to Disney many, many times and this vacation is for my son so I'm trying to plan more around what I think he would enjoy whithout overwhelming him.

DH and I have done Free Dining twice. Most of our days started with a good breakfast at POP, which is CS. Sometimes we had an early dinner at a TS, sometimes we had a light lunch or a snack and then had dinner late. Either way we had plenty of food.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We only do a big breakfast and big dinner on Animal Kingdom day. We love the character breakfast and AK closes early so we go to Chef Mickey for dinner at around 7:00pm.

On all the other days we do a light breakfast, a big TS lunch and a light meal or snack at night. Lunch is a little bit cheaper for buffets and TS and we usually like the food choices better. Especially at LTT and Prime Time.

I've done a breakfast and then skip lunch and have a dinner ADR around 3:30. This is the best time to eat dinner when the restaurants are empty and especially if you do a character meal, you get the characters all to yourself!
