We usually go to WDW in a large group so we hire a limo to take us to/from the airport.

But, this time it will only be the 2 of us!! Who do you use? Also, if you know of any coupons or codes to get a great deal, fill me in as well! Thanks

We always rent a car when we go to WDW. This way we can do a grocery shop, for snacks, drinks, etc. We also use the car when dining at other resorts.

we have used both mears and tiffany town car - both are good. Tiffany's may only be cost worthy with more than 2. There is usually a coupon on their website. In the past when booking through disney we have gotten Mears coupons, however, this last time we did not - so not sure how those coupons have worked.

I would price it out and go with the less expensive one. The only consideration would be Tiffany's allows a stop at a grocery store.. so if you wanted to do that - it may sway your decision.

If you are not going to rent a car, I would use Tiffany even if there are just the two of you. There are TWO advantages over Mears - 1. the grocery stop and 2. you will not have to sit in the Mears van while they drop off other people before your resort.

I used Tiffany on my last trip and they were wonderful. I've already arranged them for this trip. Yes, it's a little more expensive than Mears, but the grocery stop and straight shot to your resort make up for that.

I would reccomend Yourride.net, we used them in June and had a great experience. There is a coupon on their website that you can print out. Request Ronnie for your driver - he is the best!!!

Don't use Mears. We met some people that we had seen on our plane from Milw on a MK bus back to CBR. The woman was surprised that we recognized them, but we commented on how crowded CBR was at check in and she said she had gotten to the resort at 3:30. My husband and I rented a National card/emerald member so went directly to the lot, loaded the car and made a lenghthy stop at Target Greatland- groceries, liquor, cooler, and sundries. We even picked up Pizza Hut express right in the store. We kept remembering something else we needed and I ended up going through checkout 3 times. LOL Maybe our flight was way too early. Anyway we still got to the resort a Full hour before them with $100+ in food/beverages. A huge savings over food court/rest. purchases. She said the ride over was very long, with many stops at other resorts to unload passengers. Tiffany Town car is the way I would go if I didn't rent a car. But if I ever did that I would need to write a list for the store or the driver may just leave me there. LOL

I've used Mears and Tiffany Town Car. Tiffany is sooo much better. In fact, we used Mears only on our first trip. After that it was only Tiffany. More $$, but SO much better--grocery stop, quicker, more comfortable.

Here's a vote for Happy Limo. They also have a coupon on the Disney Cruiser site. They will stop for a free grocery stop. They were on time and courteous. I will use them again! After hiring a town car, I will NEVER use Mears again.

we always rent a car b/c then we can come and go as we please

but i would recommend Tiffany Town Car if you arent renting a car...very nice service!!! :)

Another vote for Happy Limo. We used them last July and will be using them again in 3 weeks!

I have a different experience with Tiffany Town Car and Mears... I'll just explain what happened and I don't mean to make anyone mad! It was early October of 2000 and 4 of us (all adults) went to WDW for my DB birthday. Within the last 5 to 6 years I've used Mears two different times and I've never really had any complaints... I travel for my job and usually take shuttles from the airport to the hotel, maybe I'm used to it. When I booked the October 2002 trip I read the boards and decided to try Tiffany Town Car for this trip and had no problem reserving ahead of time. However, when we landed in Orlando and got our luggage (30 to 45 minutes after landing, flight not late) - no Tiffany Town Car driver. I had to call (SO glad I had my pda with all phone numbers and reservations!!!) Tiff Town Car twice and finally our driver showed up. No hello, no Sorry I'm late... he picked up my mother's carry-on (leaving us with the suitcases) and took off toward what we could only guess was the car. Not a good way to start the trip. We loaded the car - I don't know if they are supposed to help out or not, but he opened the trunk and got into the front seat (after throwing a child car seat from the back seat into the trunk). So, we got to The Swan (after a VERY tense ride - I can laugh now, but I truly have no idea if this was something we had done or if he was having a bad day) and I tried to settle up with the driver. At the time I made the reservation for the car, there was a coupon on this site for Tiffany for $10 off (I think) and I mentioned it at the time I made the reservation. So, not only would the driver not honor the coupon (which honestly wasn't a big deal - I am a really good tipper and booked the car for service and convienience, not to save money), but he ARGUED with me so loudly and rudely that I forced him to call his dispatcher so that I could ask her what the total was (I thought I was so smart and had planned so well... I think that at the time it was 70 or 80 round trip and then you tip on that, but he was trying to charge me $10 more that the fee for the car and then a tip on top of that) and how could I be sure that someone would pick us up for the return to the airport at the end of the trip? She was nicer, but I was (ashamed to admit this) afraid not to tip this guy because I could just see someone 'forgetting' to pick us up! So, in conlusion, I decided to book Mears again for my trip coming up in Nov 2002 (POFQ) to save myself from the chance that I might have a similar experience. I don't read these boards EVERY day, but have honestly never seen anyone else post a bad experience with Tiffany Town Car, so maybe it was me!
Sorry for the long post and the rant - I was so dissappointed and mad about the experience, that I never called Tiffany Town Car to complain (what was the point), nor did I post it on the boards. I will, however, look into some of the alternate suggestions listed in posts above! (PS. they DID come to pick us up, but honestly, no change in attitude. It was a different guy, but I guess we were already 'labeled'!!!!):D Good luck with whatever decision you make and I hope that you have a great ride.

If there are only 2 of us, we have rented a car, so we are free to visit off property. Otherwise we use Tiffany Towncar, which we love!

Mears was the nightmare of our vacation last year. After arriving at the airport, we stood at a hot curbside for well over an hour watching Mears vans pass us by as the "person with the clipboard" walked around pretended to work at getting us to our hotel:rolleyes:

We had pre-paid for this transportation fiasco in our vacation package. NEVER AGAIN.

We will be giving Tiffany's our business this year, and I will be giving this board a review on their services (or lack of) when I return. Btw, I'm usually an easy-going person, anti-stress person. I am far from being picky or cynical, but I hate it when service providers treat me as if I forced them take a job they dislike, mistake my kindness for weakness or test my intelligence.

Other than those rare occasions of annoyance, I normally have a blast on my vacation and take mental notes on how to make it better the next time, which may also includes taking my business elsewhere.

One very strong endorsement for Yourride, and ask for Ronnie. We used them to go one way to the resort (I was picking up a car at the National rental place on property) and Ronnie was the most professional person I have ever dealt with. ;)

We always rent a car. Just remember BAND (Budget, Avis, National and Dollar) are in the terminal at MCO. National (and others?) are on property also. You could rent a car just for your arrival and departure days if you wanted to. National will pick you up and drop you off at their location at the Car Care Center.

I was also thinking of using a towncar for our trip (the day before Thanksgiving) instead of Mears. I think it may be worth the extra money even though it will be for just two of us. Now after reading all the posts, I can't decide between Tiffany & Youride... I like the idea of stopping at the grocery store. We're arriving at 10:08, what time should we be at CBR? Check in isn't until 3pm...
thanks :-):earsgirl:

We use Tiffany Towncar. There is a $8 off coupon in the back of the 2002 Passporter. Personally, I would rather spend the extra money, even if there are only 2 of us, and have door to door service and that 1/2 hour grocery stop!

thanks eeyore.. that's what I was thinking... it's a little bit more money, but we won't have to endure a "cattle van" and stopping at who knows how many other hotels first...

Seeing as we land at 10:08 a.m., I was hoping to see some of the parks before they close... I'm figuring on leaving our luggage and getting the first bus we can to MK, I think it may be open late Wednesday night according to last years hours...

thanks for your help!

Rabbitt is the man always on time very friendly and great service. Dandee I to have posted a very bad review of tiffany's and if you do a search you will find it but in short one of our bags got left in the limo and after a long ordeal of trying to get it back and having to get Disney security and the Orlando police involed we got the bag back but our digital camara was missing.
