Who do I call?

Hi, My husband and I are both going to Disney in Sept for our anniversary. We also both have Celiac disease, so we have to be on a strict gluten free diet. We already have all of our ADR's made, but I know that I am supposed to call ahead of time and talk to someone about our meals. Am I supposed to call the restraunt directly? And if so, does anyone know where I would get a list of restraunt phone numbers? Also, I know that some counter service places serve gluten free food. How will I know which ones they are? Thank you so much for all your help in advance!

I would suggest starting with the "disABILTIES FAQ", which is the third sticky item in disABILTIES!. On Page 3, which has links, are several related to diets.

Also, on the first two pages of the Disabilities Index are about eight threads which deal with diet.

Haha, I was actually thinking of that when I posted the title. I was going to call them, but the number was unlisted.

When you made your ADRs did you tell them about the gluten free? If so, they should have noted it on the ressie and given you a phone # to call for each restaurant. Sometimes the # is the same as one place in the park handles all the restaurants.

I would call and make sure it is noted on your ADRs if they never gave you those #'s to call. Brenda Bennett is the one to call to get an emailed list of safe/unsafe choices - she has a whole gluten free document for counter serv. and food carts, etc.

I did email Brenda, and she emailed me back RIGHT away. It was really fast! She gave me a lot of great info. Oh and yes, I did note our allergies on our ADR's, excpet I checked them, two of the reservations didnt have it noted. Just goes to show you should always double check! Thanks for the help guys!
