DH and I are going to try to do a 3 night cruise for our 15th anniversery in Sept or Oct. We can't do Disney without the kids, they would never forgive us and I would spend the weekend saying oh DD would have loved that, sooooooo.....

We are looking at either the Sovereign or the Majesty. I looked at the official site and the prices seem good but I think I would rather have an agent to help if it turns out to be a hurircane weekend! Does anyone offer specials, rebates? I thought there was a Diser that booked RCCL but I can't remember who it was!

Any and all advise is appreciated! (We can only do 3 nights, Friday to Monday as I teach on Tues and Thurs.) :confused3

We just went in on the Empress in May and got a really great price through VacationsToGo. We went through the internet and I talked with the girl over the phone. Everything went really smoothly.

Have fun!! :cool1:

Disneycrazymom I was just on the June 13 sailing of the Sovereign. I booked with :

She is awesome and is handling our Disney cruise, as well.

Went on the Majesty back in 2003 - wonderful cruise - wish it lasted longer than 3 days. Ship was beautiful. I booked everything through Icruise.com. Prices were great, and when I needed to talk to a real person, they were very friendly and helpful.

Enjoy!! :wave2:

RCCL has made it nearly impossible for TAs to discount thier cruises in any manner, as of May 2005. I sailed on the Soverign in June of 2000. In October of 2004, she was completely overhauled, balconies added, more cabins put in, new flooring, chairs, tables, etc. She looks pretty darn spiffy now. While it's no Castaway Cay, the Private Island Coco Cay is very nice. If you get off the ship on the first tender over, you can go to the far side of the island and have it pretty much to yourself. I think you will enjoy either ship.

I just booked a cruise for Nov. 2006 on Freedom of the Seas. Did it directly through RCCL. The guy was very nice and helpful. He even told me that if I booked the cruise through a Travel Agency I could probably get the airfare cheaper.

Can you send me a pm as well - I am looking into booking a RCCL for our in-laws - Don't even know where to start!

Thanks everyone! I knew my Dis friends would know what to do! We have been going back and forth all day and still can't decide what we really want to do. We are also considering going to an AI in Cancun. We did that a couple years ago and it was the most relaxing vacation ever. I am so lucky to have so many choices! :teeth: Thanks again!

My DH and I are going on the 3 night Wonder for my 40th and our 15th anniversary w/o our sons (age 6 and 8). We're AFRAID to tell them and we're attempting to keep it a secret. We have to be careful through b/c our 8 year old is a great reader and is usually lurking somewhere behind me! :rolleyes1

Sounds awesome...I am looking into a 7 day on RCCL. I love Disney, but the price is right when doing a side-by side comparison! Almost a third less.
Maybe if Disney knew we were going to go elsewhere, they would meet or beat their prices??? Would be nice huh? :earboy2:

That's funny Kfields! I thought I was the only one! Have a wonderful time and just use code words so they don't find out! What will you do with all the pictures though? What we will do for our kids! ;)

We decided on the Barcelo Maya outside of Cancun. It is all inclusive and we felt like we got a good deal through FunJet. After thinking about it 3 nights on the ship was just too much of a teaser cruise. We always think 7 days is way too short! So off to Mexico for us this trip, then we'll look forward to our 7 night next June! :teeth:
