Who all likes Cats here ?

I love cats too. I have 2 cats, Cheeky and Figaro. Cheeky is just over 7 years old and Figaro is just under 7 years old. I have had both of them since they were 10 weeks old. Cheeky used to live at the house up the street but the first time he was let out he saw me on our drive and came over for a stroke. So I stroked him, turned around and went into the house. After I turned back around from shutting the door I realised he had followed me in and was sitting in my hallway. I didn't know where he was from so I have him a piece of ham and then he left. This happened every night for months so I figured he was a stray. We eventually found out where he was from but he refused to go back there as the little girl was cruel to him so the origional owners said to keep him.
Figaro was given to me by a student I used to teach. Her cat had kittens so I said I would have one.
I have 3 bunnies too. Cheeky likes to sit with them in their run in the back garden and they groom him!! He is one very lazy cat!!

I will be losing one within the next month or so. My kitty Daisy has cancer and has lost 4 lbs in a few months. It is really getting the best of her.

I posted this yesterday and Daisy died here at home late last night or early this morning.
I found her in our basement stretched out on the couch, right under the heating vent.
She had been spending a lot of time down there. I think she wanted to be close to the litter pans and have a quiet space.

Cats Rule!!

I have 2 girl cats- Sasha and Lily.

I was born a cat lover and will die a cat lover. If I had a lot of money, time and space I'd have a dozen cats.

All I ever wanted out of life is a place for myself and my cats: I never wanted a kid or a dog, or even a spouse. Me + cats = bliss and fullfillment

It sounds like she went peacefully. That's a blessing, I know. We'll be thinking about you...

We just found out that our 12 year old beagle mix has severe liver disease. She's been put on two prescriptions and a prescription diet, so we hope she has quite a bit of time left, but I know that when the liver starts to go, it's the beginning of the end (we went through it with our 23 year old pony last summer and had to have her put down ).

i am grieving with you.


mine is recovering from a seizure and stroke brought on by low blood sugar. baby mommy is diabetic and becoming uncontrollable even with insulin and special diet.
hoping you hold the wonderful memories of daisy in your heart.

I am not a cat lover, I am allergic to them. Although I would never see any harm come to them and think they are beautiful. I love my dogs and my dogs hate cats. Georgie chased one out of our garden and forgot there was a gate which the cat easily went through, poor georgie didn't and got his head stuck in the gate and ripped a big piece of skin of his face he has a scar now and tells his collie brother Doug it's a war wound

It's strange about how some dogs react to cats they see outside. I hope for the sake of our neighbors outdoor cat that it stays out of our yard. I know what one of our dogs has done to rabbits and squirrels and hate to think that she'd do the same to a cat. Our other dog is old and doesn't chase anything outside, but when he was younger he used to sure try to catch a cat that lived next door to us in our old house. I don't know what he would have done if he had of caught the cat (and he never caught other animals so I didn't witness anything from him), but he sure tried.

But inside our male dog has always been great with our cats and our female plays rough sometimes, but they are buddies.

Of course in your case you're allergic and will never know, but the dogs can sure react different to an indoor pet cat vs a neighbors cat on your property or within their sight line.
