I'm having difficulty in this department right now. I've only made a few ressies but have changed them around some. Just curious if anyone else has trouble really sticking a reservation? We've had a couple changes in our plans so we have adjusted some of our ADR's.

I try not to do this if I can help it, but sometimes it is unavoidable. I usually make a schedule based on touringplan and set my days and then get the hours and EMH off the disney site. Then I decide where I want to eat and whether I want to eat at lunch or dinner and start filling that in. So.. unless the touringplan days or EMH days change, we usually stick with our original days. UNLESS I read a wonderful review that someone writes on the disboards and I decide that I MUST eat somewhere else!:rotfl:

I've only made a few changes as I like to find something and stick with it as much as possible, unless like you said, if you read a review that might steer you in another direction. I try and take reviews with a grain of salt as well because we have to learn for ourselves if we like a place or not BUT...........that being said, I do appreciate all reviews and it is good to get the feedback/input and it has helped us a great deal in our planning. We were 1st staying at AKL, then we switched to Poly, only to go back to the AKL, which we are thrilled about:woohoo: That is why I had to change some of mine around to accomodate around that change :)

I've changed my April ressies 3 times already and I am thinking of changing one more, not sure yet, but I am 21 days away so I may be out of luck.

We always end up changing things around, but usually not until we're actually there. Plans change, someone gets sick, we're just not hungry enough (especially on DDP), etc.

What helps me to minimize my obsessive over-planning is to make a few more reservations than we'll need. I'm not talking about double-booking a meal--that would be wrong. But I do book our favorite restaurants more than once during a trip, knowing we probably won't make it to all the reservations. And I book both lunches and dinners on a few days; again, knowing that we won't do both. Then we always call to cancel the reservation we won't need--sometimes a couple of months before, and sometimes a couple of hours before.

::Shamelessly raises hand:: I do this WAY too often :upsidedow I'm making my ADR's this weekend and will probably call at least 10 times between then and Sept to make changes :rotfl:

I change ADRs as much as I change our resort reservations - a lot!

I just had to change a bunch of them because we were originally going to stay at YC for 2 weeks and then we switched to YC 8 nights Poly 6 nights so I just did some logistically moving around.

Of course, there's a very good chance that I'll still be changing ADRs a few more times!
