White Water Snacks refurb?

My Trip is coming up, and all of my dates are finally showing up on all of the calendars. All of the other refurbs I pretty much knew about, but now it’s showing White Water Snacks being closed the entire week of Sept. 10 thru the 14th. (I actually get in on the 9th, it shows open that day)
Does anyone have info about it at all? I’m a little bummed as I was hoping to use them for breakfast on a morning or 2. It’s not a huge deal to me, but was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge as to whether it’s absolutely closed for the whole week... TIA!

I don't know what is going on there, but I hope when they open back up they are bring back the individual pizza and salad combo. Perfect size and great taste for both pizza and salad.

Disney filed a permit to expand it, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that is the start of a longer closure.

Can you tell me where you found the calendar that shows this refurb? We’re going later in the year and would like to keep an eye out for things like this for our trip. Hoping there isn’t a really losing closure coming. If so, I’m guessing downtown Disney would be our only option for a quick service type breakfast?

If it closes, I would expect a quick breakfast type alternative inside GC, perhaps at the bar area off the lobby.

I haven’t seen anything on the website, but it shows up on the Disneyland app. Right now, I can see as far as Sept. 16, and it’s still saying closed for that date.

It's going to become White Water Bar and Grill. Fancy it up a bit and charge more money for everything. It will likely be closed for a while.

I don't know the timeline for the construction. I'm going for Halloween and I'd love it to be open but I kind of doubt it.

I hope they do NOT mess with the patio area. Such a quiet, relaxing spot to enjoy a snack or meal.

Thanks for telling me where to find the information. Interesting that Tangaroa Terrace QS over at DLH is also going to be closed at the same time, actually from Sept to Dec.

Thanks for the update! The Disneyland App is showing White Water Snacks will close on September 24th now.

Unfortunately for me they extended the Tiki Room closure until at least October 3rd.

Of course we're going the 24th (just the 24th) and I was hoping to eat a nice lunch there before our Halloween Party. Oh, well. It will be interesting to see it when it's done!

I mostly wanted to try it out for breakfast, I’ve actually never eaten from there before, even while staying at GCH a couple of other times. Maybe they will push it back even further, I’m not sure how rigid they are with refurb schedules, esp now that all of the other new hotel construction is halted. Bummer about the Tiki Room though, originally it was supposed to reopen a week after we leave (we’ll miss it either way) but maybe it’ll still open earlier than October 3... (hopefully)

I hope they postpone it too. Or better, leave it how it is, bring back the individual pizza with salad, and go put money where it needs it, like Tomorrowland.

I would go to Storyteller's Cafe for lunch. Really good food (menu) and a nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Why would they close Tangaroa and White Water at the same time? That's terrible.

Yes it seems really silly for two long refurbs at the same time. I know that they’ve said they will have a selection of menu items available at the lounge, but I’m worried about all the stuff not specifically on the menu that was available for purchase - Mickey Bars, fruits, snacks, sodas,etc. Would hate to have to go outside my Disney bubble for those things!

They will likely set up a temporary grab and go area at the Hearthstone Lounge, like they set up for holiday treats.Maybe expand the refrigerator section of the gift shop...add an ice cream freezer, etc.
