White spots on the skin?

Hi! I am looking for any thoughts on what these spots are on my DD's chest. She spent a week in AZ a month ago, and got a really DEEP brown/red tan, as you can only get in AZ. She has beautifl olive skin, and uses spf. I know one day she fell asleep in the sun, and woke to "zebra-like stripes" on her legs. Those faded away, and from what I understand she was sick that nite. I was not there, so this is all second-hand. Now, a month later, she has these little white spots on her chest. I am thinking it has something to do with that extreme sun in AZ?

Anyone have any other takes on this???

I call them sun spots. I have very fair skin with freckles but anywhere I have gotten a sun burn I have white "sun spots"
