I have a few DISigns that some of you wonderfully generous DISigners have done for me and my family that look like they have a white background. But when I print them out and iron them on, it's clear.:confused3 Is there something I can do to fix that, or is it something that the DISigner might be able to fix? Could it be the paper I'm using? I've been using the HP transfer paper. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :worship: TIA!!!!

Yep, that is the culprit. If you use DARK paper the background will be white :)

OH yeah I just learned something...so if I want the background to be white I use the "dark transfer" and if I want it to be clean I use the "light transfer"

Exactly. With the light, everything that is white in the DISign will come out clear (including Mickey's gloves, etc). That is why it works well with white shirts. If you want to use another color then white then DARK works really well.

k so like this disign on a white t shirt...the hands will be clear???

Yes, so say you put it on a green shirt, the hands will look green (because the design comes out clear). If you want to use anything other then a white shirt use the DARK paper. Then everything prints out on the white sheet and you iron that on.

Also remember that when you print your design on the dark transfer paper, you do not print a mirror image the design like you do for the light transfer paper.

So let me get this straight.......

Light paper = no white background; see through; mirror image

Dark paper = white background; no mirror image

Is that right?
