I have never been to WC, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. My aunt who is "Miss Disney World" has planned out where we are going to be eating on our family reunion. She does not know about WC so she didn't put it on there. I was hoping maybe some of you could post some pictures and/or stories about the place to try and convince her to put it on our itinerary.

Thanks for any help :goodvibes

We have been there many many times:thumbsup2 . The very first time we discovered it by accident. We are DVC members and stayed there last minute, needed a place to eat and the front desk told me to be there 15 minutes before they opened. What a treat when the waitress came out, grabbed the large triangle and rang the bell....yelling....COME AND GET IT!!! The kids went nuts. Of course, that time Disney didn't have the dining plan, so priority seating wasn't as necessary then. We ate there this past Nov. and my son (6 y.o.) nearly died when he had to yell for Ketchup!! :rotfl: The girls at the table next to us were laughing with delight when they got to yell for a different color crayon.

Tell her it is a wonderful place and should not be missed. And the best thing of all is that you don't need to be in the park to enjoy it. You can go on a pool day!!

Enjoy,
che

We have been there two times and nothing special happened either time. I think it has to do with your waiter. The only joke he made (when 3 of the 12 orders were messed up and took over an hour!) was that Goofy must be cooking tonight.
DH got a large glass of Diet Coke for his refill too.

so just so the wait is over i will be the first ! I HATE WCC. Have eaten there 4 times, and it is painful torture ! I will absolutely refuse to ever eat there again, as life is too short to not enjoy a meal at WDW.

my DS8 asked where the washroom was the servr pointed outside and said "second tree to the left"

my son (and I ) just busted out laughing

They brought him his soda in a teapot too, with no cup!

Food was really god too!

why 4 times then? Just wondering ? :confused3

i can understand 2 times to give it another chance, but 4???

i'm with judy from boise..i didn't care for wc either. while i don't mind the fun and running around, we had just arrived from our flight and were very tired, so i just wanted to sit and eat and not run catsup around to different tables. the food also was also not very good at all i was very dissappointed. on a good note one of our favorites places to eat is the cafe in france..i could eat there everyday for lunch!:cloud9:

As you can see in last picture we had matching red white and blue mickey shirts on. We "had to" stand up and sway like a flag as the rest of the customers sang a patriotic song (mind is blanking- can't remember which one lol) it was funny :dance3:

We liked it back in 2004 (we ate there twice on that trip) but when we ate there in 2006, the food wasn't as good, and the service was lacking. The antics and games have been toned down quite a bit though it's still extremely noisy. We've removed it from the rotation on this trip because no one in the family requested it again.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in WDW. Everything there is just so fun. You won't find any grumpy CM's!

We just ate there this weekend and it was TERRIBLE. The food was blah:eek: and we had the rudiest waitress in the worls (CANDI), I know that the theme is to be loud but she was sooooo incredibly rude I wanted to hit her and the service was the slowest of the week. We were dying to get out of there. She even made a young boy cry at the next table b/c she told the whole restaurant that he had to run around on those stupied wooden horses (which I think are dangerous) singing happy bday to his sister. He was crying for a long time..what the heck is that???????????
I will never step foot in that restaurant again. Also there were a lot of college aged kids there (I'm 30) and they were so loud and the waiters provoke them to be louder. If you want a nice and quiet dinner, don't go there!

about the 4 times thing......I keep going in parties with people who are excited to try it! I have just decided enough is enough, and there is now a limit to my politeness :) . I will get take out in the little cafe place and eat outside if i have too ;)

After reading here, and having enver heard of WCC before, I decided to make reservations for our first night at disney 6/3. Earliest seating was 8:40, but at least we will be driving east so we'll feel like we're an hour earlier. I'll just feed the boys a late lunch, and hop them up on sugar so they'll be awake enough to participate

well, i dont know as far as dinner.. but i loveeeee the breakfast! imo one of the best ive had.. but hey, im also the person who still asks for the ketchup everytime just because i enjoy it.. :rotfl2:

Last fall, the waiter was overworked and totally stressed out, not in a good mood at ALL.

If you want a quiet dinner - I wouldn't go - but we loved it! You need to be willing to participate or join in with their antics, or it won't be much fun. We also loved the food.

It's like I always say - that's why I love WDW - there's something for everyone!

WCC is one of our favorites! The antics are what make it so much fun! If you are traveling with people who are too serious and can't take a joke, then don't eat here.

You'll hear different reviews on the food, but we love the skillets - both breakfast and dinner!

It does get loud at times, but that's part of the experience. Breakfast is more subdued. The pony rides are so much fun, and I don't see how anyone might think they are unsafe. They kids are superivised by the staff and given rules to follow.

WWC is one of those restaurants that I call a 2-for-1. You get a great meal and some entertainment! Try it out!

We went just for the antics (and the skillet too). I had told my husband and son about how much fun it was going to be! We got there late afternoon--hardly anybody in the place. They sat us right in front of the boiling hot fireplace (it was about 80 outside), we had the most boring waiter who didn't do anything at all---antics or otherwise. He also got lost when we asked for more items for our skillet, refills on our sodas and if we wanted dessert.

We're going back this time just to see what all the hubbub is about because I didn't see anything going on in the whole restaurant the entire time we were there :confused3

The food was "different" compared to the usual burgers, fries etc. so that made it a nice treat---although I wouldn't go as far to say it was excellent or anything.

But just walking into the WL makes me happy :) I love the atmosphere!
