We've never been there but it seems pretty popular, I'm thinking about adding it for dinner on our first night, then catching the water pageant.

Anyone been recently, is the food good and is it a fun spot for a 6yo?

Thanks. :)

We love it. Ate there twice in February, but we were staying at the WL as well. Note, that the lunch is a good bit cheaper than dinner and is pretty much the same as far as the all you can eat skillet.

What is the difference between their lunch and dinner? Thank you :)

We ate there on a whim 2 weeks ago because we were staying at WL, and had just arrived and were starving. It was very good. DH and I shared the platter, DD8 had chicken fingers. The sassiness was fun, and made a good start to our trip.

I didn't know you were allowed to share the platter? I'm leaning towards booking this for our first night, sounds like a good way to start things off. We're not landing till the late afternoon so won't be heading to a park that first day.

We've "shared" the platter (meaning all of our food came in one skillet), but we were charged per person for it. You can't order a skillet for one, for example, and share it between multiple guests. On the menu it's priced per individual, not per serving.

WCC is a lot of fun. We ate there multiple times during our last trip (we stayed at WL) and enjoyed it a lot!

I thought it was just okay. We traveled from another resort to eat there. Descent food but not worth the travel time.

Can you get the skillet using the dining plan? I wasn't sure if that was an option.

We don't have the dining plan but I would think so, other entrees that are a similar price are on it. I don't think they usually have entrees not allowed, only thing I can think of is the one option in Morocco that has a surcharge added.

Ok sounds good. Thanks!

From what I have read on the menu at All Ears, not much. Go over there and take a look at the menu section. This is one place that I would actually leave the Magic Kingdom to have lunch at, because of the lower price during the lunch time frame.

Skillet is on the dining plan. Definitely one of my favorites. You can "share" the platter, but it's per person, not per platter. Enjoy! Don't forget to ask for ketchup :)

We are taking our 9 yo niece. Do you think she would like the skillet as well or should she order a regular item off the menu?

I went there when I was 12 and I am now in my early 20s. Honestly, I wasn't impressed by the ambiance. It was loud and the waiter was more obnoxious than silly or acting in character in my opinion. The 12 year old me was very uncomfortable and it was a much too loud environment for me. I would just check to make sure everyone in your party likes loud/silly settings.

The Skillet consists of smoked brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork and, ribs. They will bring it to the table on one platter, and you can all share it. I believe the price for kids is $14 if I'm not mistaken. If your niece likes bbq, then she'll enjoy it.
