Has anyone had breakfast at Whispering Canyon? Is it good?

Also, how is the dinner there?

I've eaten there several times. Honestly, I have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy dinner there. We had an ADR at WC one night when our kids weren't exactly angels at the park that day. All I wanted was a little peace and quiet and, um, that's not happening at Wispering Canyon. That's my big gripe with ADR's.

In 2010 we had breakfast there on the last day of the trip. It was more low key than it usually is for dinner. I can't remember what we ate.

The food is good but not great. If you have a big group and you want to have fun with the kids this is a great place to do it. If you're looking to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner with the fam this isn't the spot. The kids always have a good time. Mine are sometimes afraid to ask for ketchup.:rotfl:

We had dinner there, not breakfast.

It was the most disappointing meal we have ever not enjoyed at Disney. The skillet was yucky and the atmosphere didn't make up for it. DH thinks maybe we hit it on an "off" night. I think we ordered wrong. We might be willing to give it another try some day if we ever stay at WL again (which we plan to do some holiday season). We will certainly never go out of our way for it!

It's a place my family loves! We had a very pleasant first experience there & have always hit the restaurant whenever we go back. In fact, we have dinner ADR's on Monday night! :thumbsup2

As has been noted, it is not a quiet place! It is a fun, loud & enjoyable place where you really should ask for ketchup to get the full experience! :goodvibes

I absolutely love WCC. I really want to try their skillet breakfast. Their dinner skillet is amazing. WCC is a must-do for me on every trip!

:guilty: So sorry to hear about your bad experience. The DH and I had WCC back in October of 2011 and we shared the canyon skillet… Oh my, we LOVED it…. The chicken just fell off the bone, then just melted in your mouth, and the brisket had the most wonderful smoked flavor… Everything was awesome. :thumbsup2 The DH and I can’t wait to go back..

I hope you’ll try it again!

We haven't had breakfast at WCC but we did have dinner and enjoyed it. I'm not a huge BBQ fan so I will probably try something else next time we go (which incidentally is this coming Wednesday  ), but my DH absolutely loved it and still raves about it a year later. I don't think we will ever plan a trip to WDW and not have a dinner at WCC.

We've done both - breakfast and dinner at WC. It was awesome!

Breakfast we had the skillet - OMG there was so much food! And it was good. It was low key (compared to dinner). But it was still lively.

Dinner was also fun and the food was good. There was a total of 6 adults and we were celebrating our anniversary (after our vow renewal). It was loud that is for sure! But food-wise, DH & I had the meatloaf and it was delicious; one of our guests had the pot roast; one asked if he could have a brisket platter (even though it wasn't actually on the menu) and they did it for him. and one had the chicken and the other had the pork loin. Everyone loved all their dishes and the only "complaint" was that there was just too much food.

We ate dinner there in 2007. It joined Hollywood and Vine as never return too. Food and service got a big fat zero from us and DH got sick from food that night.

We had a great breakfast there in 2010. See our trip report below. There's a photo of the breakfast skillet, our son's child pancakes, and my husband's ommlette. All were very good.

I don't remember too much antics going on, but we did ask for ketchup for our potatoes, and several were brought to our table. I think our waitress rolled her eyes at me once. I forget what I had asked for. We had fun and the food was very good.
