I ordered the trout, but about 15 minutes after taking our order our server came out and told me he was sorry, they were out. He took it upon himself to substitute salmon, and said it would be right out, and that he promised he would make it up to me.
I was so caught off guard. First, since when does the server get to order for you? I'd had salmon the night before, and really didn't want it again. When it came it was from the kiddie menu...absolutely no seasoning, and not even browned on top. The sides with it were tasteless.
I figured the "I'll make it up to you" comment meant I'd see a discount, or we'd get free dessert or something. Nope. Nothing.
My boys had a wonderful experience there and would probably like to go again. But, by the time that happens my younger son will have outgrown their shenanigans, and I'm not sure I'd risk the meal fiasco again.
Yes, I know I should have spoken up. I was just so floored that I didn't.
