Lunch or dinner? what are everyone's thoughts/opinions. I have a couple of picky kids (one lives on Mac and Cheese, but wont eat it unless it's 'the straight kind') and we're paying OOP for all our table service, we know we want to go, but not sure which would be the better choice?

Check the menu at Allears.net. Then you will have a better idea.

I've read over the menus, I'm looking for opinions on portion sizes, the interaction of the servers and what not, I guess. the menus give a good idea of the type of food, but not how much food there is Lunch vs dinner.

:)

I dont mean to burst a bubble but we were not at all pleased with Whispering Canyon. It was unusually loud and the wait staff was annoying. Food was not immpressive by Disney standards. Not planning on going back again.
:sad1:

No bubble burst, I know it will be loud and the wait staff obnoxious, I read about that before deciding on that as a place to go, it's part of the reason why I want to go, it sounds fun, and if it's loud, I won't be embarrassed if my kids are loud :)

anyone else have experiences of dinner vs. lunch?
the skillet things are all you can eat correct?

yes, the skillets are all-you-can eat - dinner includes salad, pulled pork, and brisket - we really like the dinner better, because the atmosphere is better at night (lodge lighting, general feel, etc) - but i can't really remember much of a difference between the two re: server interaction
