We're staying at WL June 24-30. Do I need a res for Whispering Canyon? Since I'm right staying should I be able to make a res when I get there?

I heard recently that people were furious who were staying at the Poly and couldn't get a reservation at any of the restaurants there for the entire length of their trip. The DP has become even more popular than it was last year, when we personally saw people being turned away from restaurants.

It takes a couple of minutes to make an ADR and you can always cancel it if you need to.

We are going at the end of April and I called back in late Jan. and had a hard time getting Whispering Canyon for the times I wanted for dinner. I did change my lunch reservation for there this week without problems so it might depend if you have your heart set on dinner or not.

I totally agree with others. Do yourself a favor and make a ressie. You are staying onsite so chances are you will utilize it.

WC is a fun place

enjoy

I would make ressies. I just booked 180 days out and had to settle for 50 minutes later than what I wanted. Last year I tried to make ressies the day of and they had no openings.

I would definitely make an ADR. Last year, we called about 170 days out for WCC and there were only two time slots available-5ish and 9ish.

WE tried to get WCC last trip and it was all booked up for the whole time. Defiantely make an ADR.

Why wouldn't you make one? It will just guarantee you a convenient time.

I agree, make the ADR and then you'll KNOW you have it!

Have a Magical Time!

Here's another WCC question -- we have never eaten there. If we are able to get a lunch reservation, will there still be the same antics they have at dinner?

Thanks for any advice!

Last June, while we waited for our ADR at WCC, we saw several parties of people turned away because they didn't have ADRs.

You should get antics at lunch and dinner. There's a DISer who is a CM at WCC who posts. Maybe she can tell you more specifically.
