Our ressie for WCC is at 5:30pm, I wanted 5:00pm when they begin serving dinner. My fear is that having our reservation 30 minutes into "dinner time" we will not get a table in the main dining room where all the fun is. :sad2:

Would they seat us early if we came at 5:00?? Or if we ask for the main dining room and nothing is available will they let us wait for a table to open in there???

This is our arrival day dinner so I just want the kids to start their vacation on a happy / fun dinner. :thumbsup2

If they have walk up openings they can definately seat you then. If there is a line and they aren't taking walk-ups you will most likely have to wait till about 15 minutes prior to your time or check in and wait on a list in case someone doesn't show up.

Also - just let them know you want to wait for a main dining room table. I know we were once put out back and it was pretty boring.

Just ask to be where the action is. On our last trip, we had them reseat us twice. The first time they took us to the back; second time we were in the main dining room, but off to the side. Finally, they sat us right out in the middle. I hated to keep asking, but they were pretty cool about it.:goodvibes

Have fun - its a great place!

When we went last September, we had a 5:15 reservation. We were NOT seated until 30 minutes past our time. We were put in the backroom despite the fact that there were several tables in the main room. We asked to be seated in the main room and we were told we had to take what we got. It was the start of a very bad night.

I didn't even know that they had different rooms. My ressie is for 5:50 and that was the 1st thing I could get on the day that I wanted. I guess las ttime we were there, we were in the front room cause we were really close to the exit to the rest room. It was crowded and loud but we loved it!

I think if I got a response like that I'd say "No I don't" I'd like to speak to the manager. I wouldn't eat there but let the manager know how I was spoken to by the hostess.

Never had a problem at WCC since I never cared where we sat but at Ohana we like a window table and I would request it upon check in and let them know that we were willing to wait. Always got it. Who would mind waiting when you can enjoy the Pina Coladas or a Lapu Lapu.

When we went last year we were brought to the room right off the main room

I replied "On no! no man's land!"
to which the hostess pointed to the section behind ours and said "No THAT'S No man's land":rotfl2:
We weren't in on all the fun but we had fun(even though we sat next to the dud family- they were all reading! to themselves at the table!!:eek:IN DISNEY! and it wasn't a guide book)

The best seat in the house is anywhere OUTSIDE the restaurant! We went last week and it was TERRIBLE. We have been at least 6 times and it was great. Not last week. No antics at all we didnt even see any going on around us. We were there for 530 ressies and the place was packed... but Nothing going on. The food was the worst part. I spoke with the mgr. to tell her how disappointed we were and she basically said oh well....Its off of my rotation now.

We went twice last week and enjoyed it both times. The ketchup bottles were definitely making the rounds, and my kids did the pony race both times. I noticed that groups of adults only were put in the back room. Whenever I walked by WCC, I never saw kids in the back room. Maybe they think adults will like the quiet?!?

We have 4 kids and we were back there and there were plenty of other kids back there.

in january I walked up to the podium and said "we would like to mein the main dining roomw ith a fun server please!: the host laughed, but that's exactly what we got! we had to wait a few mintues but it was worth it!

Thanks for the replies!

I'm hoping we don't go on a night that I get the nasty hostess. That would not be a good way to start our FIRST DISNEY TRIP :sad2:

I"ll just smile, be nice and hopefully get in that main dining room....... :flower3:

That was our experience in September (besides the rude hostess). The food was awful and DH was sick the rest of the night. We won't be back (too many other places that have good food AND good service).
