Whispering Canyon Questions

We're staying at Wilderness Lodge so I'm assuming we'd eat dinner at WCC one night. A couple questions:

1. Is it difficult to get same day reservations? Do I need to plan ahead for WCC dinner or nah?
2. I'm a vegetarian but if I get the all you can eat thing with the rest of my family could I get, like, extra potatoes and salad?

Thanks!

No clue about the reservations but I believe WCC has the all you care to eat skillets or you can order off the menu.

Seems like I read a review where a vegetarian got the quinoa cakes entree and really liked them

I've had luck in the past just walking up. I've only tried later in the evening when we've been staying at the resort though.

As far as I remember they offered to bring us extra of anything we wanted. You should be able to order a vegetarian entree if you want though. They've never had a problem with only part of the table getting the skillet in my experience.

When are you going? That really depends if you can walk up. WCC is one of our favorite restaurants. We were able to make reservations on the same day several times. One of the times we went our DDs friend was a vegan and the chef came out and had several choices for her. The all can you eat is mostly meat but I am sure if you want it they will bring you extra of whatever you want.

Paul is our favorite waiter - so much fun. Enjoy!

We were staying at WL and decided last minute to have dinner there. We walked up as it opened (at 5:00, I think) and they told us it would be 45 minutes, which we didn't mind waiting since it was early for dinner anyway. About 10 minutes later we were given a table. So if you're not able to get a same day reservation, showing up when they open could work too.

There's so much you can eat on that ayce skillet that is not meat. They will accommodate you. If not ayce beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread and salad for sure.

You don't all have to do the skillet either. So you could order an entree while they did the all you can eat.

We've done a walk-up with no problem. Of course that was lunch time, but as a day of ADR maker most of the time I'd also offer that Whispering Canyon is available quite often.

We walked up for breakfast when we were staying there. Not sure what category room you booked, but we were DIRECTLY above WCC when we stayed there, and it was quite loud, so if that would bother you, and if you can request a room not on the lobby. But others feel differently about being on the lobby.
