These are both new restaurants for us and were excited about trying them for dinner on our upcoming trip. It looks like I will have to cancel one though and I don't know which one to drop, since we've never been to either. :confused3

Thanks for the input.:goodvibes

Which meal is this for? You might get different responses depending on breakfast or dinner.
Kona has great breakfast- Tonga Toast is a WDW must have!

Sorry, it's a dinner reservation. And we were maybe hoping to catch wishes or boat parade after.

They are totally different menus. Pick the one that you would most enjoy.
Do you want something different in flavors? Try Kona. Or looking for some fun, try WCC.

I would try Kona....its closer to MK. Plus, they have a great menu. But definitely look at the menu for both and decide from there. If you wanna see the shenanigans that go on at WCC, check out some clips on youtube. that way you can decide if thats the place for you or not.

I you want to watch wishes after dinner then eat at Kona. The beach at the Poly is a great place to see the fireworks. We liked eating at WCC because they were so kid friendly and very accommodating. (They gave us a long list of food they could make for our kids that wasn't on the menu.) I don't know if we would eat there without our children though.

Whispering Canyon is my absolute favorite restaurant so I'd always recommend that.

I have never eaten at Whispering Canyon, but we ate at Kona cafe last week for dinner and it was awesome!! The food was very good and the desserts.....amazing!! I think Kona gets a little forgotten with O'hana being the main attraction, but I will be eating at Kona again my next trip!!

I've eaten at both, and prefer Kona Cafe. I think the food is better, and we love going to the Poly and explore. We go to Kona on all of our trips.

Both are really different but good in their own way. The NOT so Whispering Canyon Cafe is a lot of fun...while the Kona Cafe' is more subdude. If you choose Kona it will be easier to get to the Magic Kingdom after dinner so that's a plus. If you make ressies for after 6:00 you can also see the torch lighting out front and see the fire dancer. If you go to the Whispering Canyon Cafe'...tell them you need ketchup! pirate:

If you are looking for great food, go to Kona. If you are looking for a fun, unique experience go to Whispering Canyon. We did both on our last trip and we enjoyed both but for different reasons. We will definitely return to Kona in the future because we really enjoyed the food. We had a great time at WCC but we probably won't go again unless our kids request it. The experience was really fun and the look on my husband's face when they set down his drink refill was priceless, but the food was nothing special IMO.

I guess I should have mentioned that our friends will be eating at Ohana that night, so for that reason I'm leaning torwards Kona. I'm really torn.:confused3 I looked at both menus and I think we'll like the food at both. I of course like the Kona menu better; it's making me hungry just reading it.popcorn:: But I think that my kids will enjoy/appreciate WCC more. Ugh. Decisions, decisions...:rolleyes1 Probably what I'll wind up doing is WCC because I know the kids would prefer it, and save Kona for a later trip.
