Have a few questions.
We have ADR's for CRT next Monday for breakfast, and for Crystal Palace that evening for dinner. What I'm wondering is, I hear the park will be crowded in the afternoon, and we do like to sit for lunch, should I change our Crystal Palace dinner to WCC lunch? If that's even possible? Also, is it easy to get to from MK? We have all our table meals booked, but I thought about adding WCC if it's worth it. We ate at CP last time, and my husband liked the food, but my kids are 13 and 9 and Winnie the Pooh is just not really their thing anymore! would WCC be something kids my age would enjoy? And how late could we do lunch? We have kind of a late breakfast that morning.
Thanks for any help!

If you can manage to snag a reservation for WCC lunch, I would do it! We ate there for breakfast this summer and I really liked it. It's pretty loud, and raucous, and fun.

It's super easy to get to from MK. Just head to the boat launch, hop on the boat to WL, and you'll be there in ten minutes. It's a really pleasant ride. Have fun!

Had dinner at both this past September. I prefer WCC. I think they serve lunch until 4 but this could change for the Holidays. The food is wonderful.

I doubt MK will be as crowded as Sat 12/10 but who knows. It will certainly be less crowded earlier in the day on Mon. 12/12 so why leave the park for lunch (when wait times for rides are lower) to go eat?

I've seen Saturdays just get crazy crowded in the evenings maybe because people are checking into their resorts and MK is the 1st park to visit. Another thing is Sat. 12/10 and Mon. 12/12 are both days between days when MK closes early for Christmas parties on 12/9, 12/11, and 12/13. So, I think non-party goers will choose to go to MK on 12/10 and 12/12 when MK is open longer and they can see fireworks (without paying for the party).

I agree Crystal Palace has very good food and quite a variety to choose from... I like CP because of the convenient location right in MK... can't beat it.. and I've never had a long wait to be seated. And being buffet... we can take as long as we want to eat... or just have a quick lunch and get back to the park.

Been to WCC 3x for dinner and the antics (the fun goofy part) were fun but I've read mixed reports about the antics at lunch but overall I'd say there's a good possibility that lunch will be dud... with nothing or very little antics going on. Would a 9 and 13 yr old like it? I don't know... it's corny stuff... The place gets fun when more people are there. The food was good but I didn't like the ribs at all (fatty, not like good lean baby back ribs).

We go to WCC because we like to visit Wilderness Lodge and the boat ride is a nice break... I'd pick CP anytime over WCC. I have a dinner booked later this week.. but if Crystal Palace has an opening, I'll switch.

You catch the boat to WL outside the entrance to MK and it's about 15 minutes long when on the boat. It was a little longer once because it went to Ft. Wilderness 1st. So, I'd allow up to 15 minutes wait time plus 15 minutes boat ride, plus 30 minutes extra to be on the safe side (you just lost an hour of MK park time). About every hour, the WL geyser goes off too... (toward your left) after you exit the boat.

Well, I was thinking since we have a late breakfast at CRT (9:55) we won't want to eat until either a late lunch, or early dinner. Of course, they have no reservations open until like, 7:50 and that's later than what I had hoped, so what are the chances of getting a walk in spot at like, 5, right when they open for dinner? That would be better than the "dud" lunch, and we would be out of the park during the busiest time I'm guessing, and we can head back after dinner for EMH?
Thanks for all the help!!

We like both but if you're wanting the fun at lunch, you won't get it. There's no ketchup passing...it's almost a normal lunch. I made the mistake of going for lunch last year wanting the fun for my family and after a while asked about it. I was told that the fun parts are reserved for dinner. I wish I had known this then! Regardless, I would choose CP.

WCC is one of my favorite DIS restaurants! We never have a trip without eating there. It is very easy to get to from MK. We always prefer to take the boat to WL (it doesn't take long and its pretty relaxing)

I'd just keep your existing Crystal Palace ADRs.
-We like the food and think it's one of the better TS restaurants in the park, characters or not. We really don't think the quality of the food at WCC is anything to write home about. And it's crazy noisy.
- You won't have to waste a lot of time travelling to and from WL, and fighting the crowds on Main Street. And if there's a parade that night, Main Street WILL be horrendously crowded. OTOH, after eating at CP you can step outside and find a good viewing spot quite close by.
-I wouldn't even bother with lunch if you are having a late morning buffet breakfast. Last time we did that we were so full that we had a hard time working up any enthusiasm for dinner, never mind lunch! Just plan on mid afternoon snacks to tide you over till dinner.

We were disappointed in WC and don't suggest it to our friends. A lot of hype for a bbq place. CP is more worth your time and money.
