Whispering Canyon Cafe?

What is the best way to get to Whispering Canyon Cafe from Contemporary Resort? Also, give me your opinion on this restaurant. Thanks!

I would think the best way to get there from the Contemporary is to walk over to the Magic Kingdom entrance, then take the boat over.
We ate there for the first time this past Sept and we really liked it. The food was very good and my kids (4&5) had a fun time. It was definately loud, which is fine by us..but just thought I would mention it. It is not a place that is a 'must do' for us now, but I am glad we tried it once.HTH!

There's boat service from the Contemporary to WL.

There have been several long threads on WCC lately; look a few pages down and you'll find all sorts of opinions, good and not so good.

You don't have to go over to the MK... just take the Friendship boat from the Contemporary to the WL... it is a quick trip (10 minutes at the most). There is a boat dock at the back of the resort to pick up the boat. It goes around to WL and the Fort too. We have done this a bunch of times to go to Chef Mickey when we stayed at the WL. It is a really relaxing trip over. You will love it!

By the way... we love the Whispering Canyon... don't know why so many others don't... we have not had a bad meal there and we have eaten there many times.... breakfast, lunch (only once) and dinner. Service is good and fun. Atmosphere is great. Food is always good. Not fancy and the menu is small... BUT REALLY GOOD!

Definitely take the boat that runs from COntrmporary to WL. Boat dock at COntemporary is on the side away from MK near the pools.

Yes, there is a direct boat from the Contemporary marina to Wilderness Lodge.

Danielle, it's not a Friendship launch. The Friendship launches are the enclosed boats that crisscross the World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot and Crescent Lake (the lake behind Epcot where the Epcot resorts are located).

The boats from WL to Contemporary are called motor launches; they are small, open boats that remind me a lot of the Jungle Cruise boats, but a little larger. If you're a boat person, these are a terrific mode of transportation.
