I'm trying to round out one priority seating arrangement per day (eat in the room or counter service for the other meals) and I was wondering if taking a bus over to the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is worth the trip?

Also is there any other resort restaurants that are worth a try? (We're already booked at O'hanas)

Thanks for any info!

Oh yeah, a super fun place to eat. You guys will love it. A laugh a minute there. And the food is great too, along with the ambience of WL.

I think it's worth the trip::yes:: If you are staying at another resort, just go to MK and take the launch to WL. That's a fun ride.:earsboy:

The Wilderness Lodge is BEAUTIFUL. Take some time and explore the lobby, go out to see the geyser, walk around the superbly landscaped grounds.

Oh, and don't forget to ask for the KETCHUP at Whispering Canyon . . .:teeth:

Oh yes its worth the bus ride. Just SEEING the Wilderness Lodge is worth the bus ride!

We've eaten at Whispering Canyon twice and the food is excellent and its so much fun!

That's a great place to go.
Another is Kona Cafe, for breakfast, in the Poly. We've had meals in several of the Resorts, and these two are our favorites.

Absoulutly!!!

Just take the boat from MK. There is also a direct bus from TTC. Or if you're at CR or FW, there is another boat.

Lets see, if they don't bring the ketchup fast enough, just grab a bottle from another table . You're sure to be very thirsty, so ask for a BIG glass of water:p . Ask to see Sponge Bob........

;) ;) ;)

I think it's definitely worth the trip!! My DS had so much fun (of course the rest of us did too) and WL is so beautiful!!

I will let you know mid June. Our group of 11 will be having lunch there on our vacation. I cant wait to go, it sounds like a blast.

We usually go to WCC from the Magic Kingdom, so you take a boat instead of a bus.

Our favorite resort restaurant is Boma. Go early and spend time looking at the animals and searching for hidden Mickeys.

Melora~ I agree with the above posters...the WL alone is worth the trip & the Whispering Canyon is awesome.....food is good....place is FUN!

You might want to make sure that the FUN will be going on at lunchtime. We went at lunch once & it was just a normal restaurant...none of the extras

Heck yeah it's worth it. Like many of the other posters have said, just going to see the resort makes it worth the bus ride!

Whispering Canyon is a wonderfully fun plae to eat. Make sure you sit in the main restaurant area though.

You have to go there!! Very good food, and such a *hoot*! The first time we ate there, my son was 4 or 5 (he is now 12) and my nephew was 6 or 7. They did the pony races, and then one of them had said something...........and our server grabbed a rope and put their chairs back-to-back and tied them up!! The kids didn't want to leave the restaurant!! Awesome time!

Plus like others have said, the lodge is just gorgeous and worth the trip to walk around and explore!

Made reservations for dinner on the first Sunday night we are there....

I am really looking forward to it!!! :bounce:

Thanks for all the input!!
